Yes, there is one job that Americans will not do. Will not ever do again. America has had its one and only American Revolution. The revolution in Ukraine got me to thinking.
Can anyone imagine Americans walking through the White House or the Capital and reclaiming it like just happened in Ukraine? Or even hanging around and waving patriotic banners into the early hours of a Monday morn? Nope; time to go to work. Had our million man march; done that, now back to like it never happened.
Americans mock the pusillanimous French, but they are anything but. They will rock the streets and burn the cars for their 30 hour work week. The Poles stood in front of Russian tanks. Ukrainians just died for their right to be free of the iron fist. Europeans have something Americans have lost. Perhaps Americans will find that lost zeal when there is nothing left to lose. Or perhaps we will just find ourselves like that frog in the ever warming vat; fat, over-bloated, and boiled.
So who is going to do the one job Americans won't do? Where will we find the weeks long warriors not just the weekend ones on the White House lawn? There aren't any Hessians hanging around Lowes or Home Depot, but there are Mexicans - lots of them - looking for work.
One of our Freepers, Craftmore, posted, "What could happen if we set up supply lines and had a million tea party people camped in Washington for months instead of hours, and sang The Star Spangeled Banner every hour?"
Mr. Craftmore, I've had very similar thoughts, but we all know tea party types have been vilified to lower than wetback status. Besides we got 9-5 jobs. But those guys hanging around Home Depot are today's cause celebre.
So let's round them up, pay them $50 a day, and bus them to Washington. Hell, it only costs $19.95 a month to adopt a wounded warrior! I'm sure a lot of us would adopt a wetback warrior to hold our signs. Rather than spend millions and millions of dollars on political campaigns and filling campaign war chests, let's set up tents along the Mall, feed them, and pay them. Hire Giulani Security to keep order while we put the signs in their hands and teach them "America the Beautiful". I can't think of a better use of the Koch Brothers money.
Is Pelosi going to jive-walk through a throng of Hispanics? Is John Lewis going to claim that he got spat on by Mexicans? The Stasi stenographer media might even find a few that can speak English. And there is no fear of them being deported en masse. Our media will protect them.
We don't need a Million Man March. Fifty thousand strong day after day after day after day will send the message ordinary Americans won't send. I figure it would cost a million dollars a day. Chump change in today's billion $ and more campaigns. Ah heck, let's pay them $100 a day so that we can't be accused of not paying the minimum wage. That's 2 million a day. Cheap.
Any Freeper moms out there want to arrange a car pool and drop off to Washington D.C. ?
The American Revolution was won with lots of divine intervention. I doubt we’ll be getting a do over. We fix what we gained in the revolution or we forget it.
As far as I can tell, ours was about the only revolution that really turned out well.
You’re proposing a prime target for a false flag event that the government and the media can and will blame on the Tea Party.
There will be no tolerance for a modern version of the Bonus Army.
Looking at what happened 90 Years Later

Slavery-Started the Great American Tradition of Kicking the Can down the Road.
And in 1861 we ran out of road.
Perhaps correct, but methinks the situation is not dire...yet.
Just wait.
And keep airports under surveillance when the time comes...because the libslime will try to escape.
We want them here.
For the guillotine.
Perhaps we can convince (or do more than convince) CNN to televise liberal heads bouncing.
Its all as it was planned.
The recipients of that divine intervention were God fearing, and upon winning, consecrated this land to God. I think too many of us have turned our backs to the Lord.

Ya know? The NY Times et al should just drop this damned pretense of having supposed writers opening new avenues of discussion, new and free thinking analysis of political events, because the morons they have doing this are woefully underequipped.
Frankly, they should just reserve a couple of front pages for the effing White House talking point faxes they get every day.
Delete previous comment...meant for another thread...shoulda had my glasses on. My bad.
Shoot, I think you could post that comment on virtually every thread, to much Freeper support!
No apology necessary lol
Maybe Obama will try some gun confiscation before he’s outta the picture; that would stir things up to a boil for sure.
Peyton,
Your post sparked a question of mine that I’ve had for some time. Are we giving too much credit to the propagandists in the media to drive a “narrative” designed to influence minds? Do we really believe that at this stage of our nation there is an undecided camp (note: I differentiate between undecided and apathetic) to be won over so we must concern ourselves with message tailoring and whether blame is going to be assigned?
I think at this point people are either convinced or they are not. As long as we hold ourselves hostage to this idea I don’t think we will advance our ideals. If we accept that we are on the side of Truth, then that is a much more powerful thing than any propagandists’ narrative. We seem so preoccupied with perception that we fail to employ action.
It’s a defensive game we’re playing. We seem so consumed with discrediting those who purport to speak for the Tea Party who we might label as agitators or false flag operatives. I don’t discount the power of propaganda, but I think we are too preoccuiped with this notion.
I’ve wondered what, exactly, the “final outrage” will be. I am absolutely shocked that the entire news media (YES, even MSNBC) didn’t go absolutely bat-sh$@$ berserk over the FCC plan to “monitor” the news with “observers” - which, of course, is exactly and precisely what the Soviet government would do, planting reliable party members into key aspects of any enterprise.
I agree with the sentiment but disagree with the plan. There is only one thing the elites in America understand, money! We need only take away there money and this all ends. How that would be done is up for debate and based of the way things are proceeding this may in fact be the outcome that overthrows our current elits. We are headed IMO inexorably toward our economic collapse. Be prepared for all the things that portends and pray that we not be beguiled by demagogues out for power with no care for the nation!
Imagine 50,000 protesting daily in D.C. Now picture a gunman taken down by law enforcement after he allegedly attacks Congress or the Supreme Court. Killed and wounded include women and children tourists, plus one or more Congress Critters or Supreme Court Justices.
The media obtains graphic video and photos to run 24/7.
The deceased gunman is identified as a member of the Tea Party by the government.
The undecided and apathetic become very decided all of a sudden.
Public push polls demand action. Dems and the GOPe will be falling all over themselves competing to give King Barack whatever he wants in the interest of public safety, the war on terrorism, and for the children.
Burning the Reichstag works.
For those who believe that the fairness doctrine is now a vital component of public discourse it’s only natural for them to think that the answer is political officers in the media structure to mandate compliance.
As for the final outrage I suspect it’ll be a small event, exacerbated by social media. That’s usually how these things go.
If the GOP were to return to conservatism and take an unapologetic take no prisoners offensive they would be immediately and immensely popular.
This assumes that they in general believe in those principles of course. Which I'm pretty sure they do not.
I’m wondering how many the American Spring in May will draw.
