Little known fact, yes there were Russian troops at the Normandy Landing. They were assigned there to help our forces via Propaganda Units, to talk the OST Troops into surrendering. It was also a front page story in what I believe was Stars and Stripes 6/44 if I recall correctly. I read it at Ft.Leavenworth, in their Library Achives. I was surprised to see it, photos and all.
