The Nobel Peace Prize 2007 was awarded jointly to Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and Albert Arnold (Al) Gore Jr. "for their efforts to build up and disseminate greater knowledge about man-made climate change, and to lay the foundations for the measures that are needed to counteract such change".
I recently read an article about the death of 98-year-old Irena Sendler, someone I had never heard of. The article alleged that Irena Sendler lost the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize to Al Gore.
Irena Sendler, a candidate for the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize, is credited with saving 2,500 Polish Jews from the Holocaust.
During WWII, Iliana, got permission to work in the Warsaw Ghetto.
She had an ulterior motive...
She KNEW what the Nazi's plans were for the Jews.
Iliana smuggled infants out in the bottom of her tool box she carried, and she carried in the back of her truck a Burlap sack, (for larger kids).
She also had a dog in the back, that she trained to bark when the Nazi soldiers let her in, and out of the ghetto.
The soldiers of course wanted nothing to do with the dog, and the barking covered the kids/infants noises.
During her time and course of doing this, she managed to smuggle out and save 2500 kids/infants.
She was caught, and the Nazi's broke both her legs, and arms, and beat her severely.
Iliana kept a record of the names of all the kids she smuggled out, and kept them in a glass jar, buried under a tree in her back yard.
After the war, she tried to locate any parents that may have survived it, and reunited the family.
Most of course had been gassed.
Those kids she helped got placed into foster family homes, or adopted.
Last year Iliana was up for the Nobel Peace Prize....
She LOST.
Irena Sendler was reportedly a candidate to receive the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize, but that honor was not awarded to her. (It's difficult to state categorically that she was "nominated" for the award, since information about Nobel Prize "nominations, investigations, and opinions is kept secret for fifty years.")

Irena Sendler was a living SAINT in her time. There is a movie about her that Hallmark did that is worth viewing (although it doesn’t tell the incident about the dog). It’s called “The Courageous Heart of Irena Sendler”. The nicest jpart of the movie is that it shows a few clips of the real Sendler before her death. What a beautiful lady! I read that in her old age she was actually nursed by some of the children whom she saved.

As of this writing, there is no Scientifically proven, laboratory tested, peer-reviewed, published article on any known Cause and Effect between the amount of CO2 and change in air temperature.
In the field, for example, the Global ppm of CO2 has increased in the last 17 years, but the Global air temperature has not changed, or has gotten colder depending on the site being measured.
Last year the Arctic Ocean Ice Cap grew in area and thickness with Global CO2 at its highest level, providing yet another addition to the very long list of field test failures to the proponents of the pop-culture, junk science speculation called “Global Warming.”
CO2 is essential for plants to obtain Carbon, and thus CO2 is an environmentally friendly Green House Gas right along with the most abundant Green House Gas, Water Vapor.
BTW, Water Vapor abundance in the atmosphere is 25,000 ppmillion, and CO2 is 400 ppmillion, +/-, adjusted for volcanic and seasonal variation.
Fear-mongering, Spendaholic Politicians can fool some of the real Scientists some of the time, but they have convincingly proven that they can fool all of the “junk scientists” all of the time.
Since abundant CO2 is essential for Green Plants to grow by the process of Photosynthesis, we FReepers are duty bound to break down the Spendaholic Politician’s Barrycades that un-Scientifically discourage the increased generation of life-giving CO2.
Let us as FReepers storm the Anti-Green Energy, “Phony CO2 Barrycades” of the Spendaholic Politicians with the following chants:

CO2 means more plant food for you;
Carbon is a Plant’s Best Friend;
