Keep up the pressure, ladies and gentlemen. Do not relent, do not surrender. Keep pushing until Hollande capitulates and the government trembles at the sound of your voices.

I wonder if the elaborate state dinner would have been held if this happened before the visit to Panem... er... ah Washington DC.

I swear every time I turn around the French people are protesting en masse to force their fuched up government to back down on one sort of nonsense or the other.
Their soldiers may not have won very many wars over time, but their people have WAY more guts than U.S. citizens!

DO NOT BACK DOWN. Ride this discontent all the way to the election and then reverse the entire thing! GO FRANCE GO!

>> President François Hollande backed down from submitting a new bill to parliament that would make legal assisted procreation for lesbian couples and surrogate motherhood for gay men who want children. <<
In a related story, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy stated that she is "deeply saddened" by Hollande's announcement.

I have heard nothing about this, not a word. Thank goodness for the Internet. Well, I envy the french, they have a President who listens to his citizens, even when they loudly disagree with him. Hollande does not use Punishment Audits to silence his critics.

I can understand two women wanting children but two men? Some heterosexual women have to convince some heterosexual men to become fathers. Gay men wanting to be parents is weird.
