George W. Bush is looking to what some call his secret weapon in the effort to win over Latino and 20-something voters: His hunky Latino nephew.
The oldest son of Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and his Mexican-born wife Columba, George Prescott Bush was born in Houston on April 24, 1976.
George P. (or P as he is called by family members) lived with his parents in Venezuela for three years. In 1979, the growing family moved to Miami, where he was raised while attending private schools.
George P. earned a history degree from Rice University in 1998. He immediately entered the work force, taking a job teaching history at Homestead High School in South Florida, a low-income community south of Miami.
Just over a year later, George P. left his teaching position and came to the aid of his uncle, George W. Bush, in his bid for the presidency of the United States.
Encouraging Young Voters
George P., who was raised to speak both Spanish and English, visited more than 60 high schools and 25 colleges in New Hampshire and California during the primary campaign, setting up voter registration booths and trying to convince young people to get involved in politics.
He applied lessons learned as a teacher (viewing victory one person at a time) in his grassroots approach to reach young voters. This generations Bush believes that young people are informed and care about issues, but must be taught how to direct their energy into politics.
The GOP historically loses Latino votes to Democrats, and it seems clear the Bush campaign is hoping the 24-year-old will help his uncle appeal to young and especially Latino voters. So far, the fans (mostly young women) have swooned over this young George with football-player good looks.

They’re atrociousing.
There's no way I can prove this brilliant flash of insight, but way back in 1980 I said (to the scant few who would listen) that Ronald Reagan's greatest mistake was selecting GHW Bush as his running mate.
I saw no benefit then (and see none now) in getting in bed with faux conservatives of the CIA/CFR/NWO/etc ilk.
IMO the body language in this photo tells you everything you need to know (and hate) about American politics:
Ping to #42
Jeb Bush is channeling Monica Lewinsky in that photo.
People in TX must go with George P. because they don’t recognize his opponent, if for no other reason.
So why did GHWB and Jebbie exclude George W. from the photo?
Is it my turn yet?!?"
I think I am on the same thought train as you are relative to the Bush family. It is my understanding that Reagan had to choose Bush1 to get the money changers on Wall Street to not undercut his efforts. I sense that same political background and push as to Jeb Bush. The Bush family to me has always been one of those who put themselves as paramount above the peasants. Their coziness with the throne of England and oil sheiks in the middle east sets them above many USA citizens.
“If republicans don’t make inroads into the latino population, in the next few years, the demographics will overwhelm us.”
A few years and we’ll be overwhelmed? Right...
Even assuming that’s true—and it’s a major stretch—we will certainly be overwhelmed if we throw the borders open wide. That absolutely ensures America will effectively cease to exist, and we’ll become just another balkanized, third world country in time.
That’s almost as bad as saying we’ve got to abandon the free market in order to save it... (Another gem from the Bush aristocracy)
The very things that make America so attractive to immigrants will be destroyed by unrestrained immigration. Just take a look at Mexico. Do you really, REALLY want to turn America into that? Well, that’s the future if the Bushes and their ilk have their way. They’ll have their walled estates and plenty of servants. We, on the other hand, will have poverty and ruin.
I don’t necessarily think that’s true in most cases.
For instance, here in Georgia, Former Senator Sam Nunn’s daughter is running for Senate to replace Saxby Traitor Chambliss as a Democrat (much like he nearly always intended to vote).
I wouldn’t vote for her directly even though I don’t know right now what Republican will end up getting the nomination.
As it goes now, discounting Bush the Former’s performance, Bush the Latter’s actions in just two things have forever forsworn me to NEVER vote for a Bush for anything.
Those two things are: DHS and TSA.
I don’t think GWB is a “player.”
He did his part for their goals to be sure, but I have some sense that he’s been put out to pasture.
GHWB on the other hand, has never stopped playing kingmaker. I think you’ll find his fingerprints all over the GOPe.
I wouldn’t even vote for the Bush Bean guy or his dog.
No more Bush’s.
Who said anything about borders or immigration?
The legitimate Spanish speaking citizens are multiplying like rabbits. Minorities of all groups are increasing while Whites are intermarrying and assuming the minority heritage. We have to start promoting the conservative point of view to the coming generations.
