Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., delivered a stark demographic warning to his party on Saturday, predicting that Texas a sizable electoral prize that Republicans cannot afford to lose in national elections may tilt Democratic within 10 years if the GOP doesnt broaden its appeal.
What I do believe is Texas is going to be a Democrat state within 10 years if we dont change, Paul told the Harris County Republican Party on Saturday, according to Politico. That means we evolve, it doesnt mean we give up on what we believe in, but it means we have to be a welcoming party.
Pauls pitch to Texas Republicans focused largely on the partys appeal among Hispanic Americans, who have trended strongly Democratic in recent elections. He acknowledged that immigration reform, a top priority for many Hispanic political leaders, is a touchy subject for Republicans. But he counseled the GOP not to shy away from the debate, though it may expose intra-party divisions.
We wont all agree on it, he said. But Ill tell you, what I will say and what Ill continue to say, and its not an exact policy prescription
but if you want to work and you want a job and you want to be part of America, well find a place for you.

"but if you want to work and you want a job and you want to be part of America, well find a place for you."
Unless you're a white male US citizen, of course. In which case, you'll be openly discriminated against at every turn, and then expected to pay for the benefits all these illegal invaders will be collecting.

Let's start that conversation by acknowledging we aren't going to deport 12 million illegal immigrants.
De facto amnesty. Oh, by the way, that 12 million is probably closer to 30 million.
Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers.12 million more people assimilating into society. 12 million more people being productive contributors.
What makes these politicians think these illegals will be coming out of the shadows? Assimilating? Doubtful, as many eventually return to Mexico after a few years. Productive contributors? Yes, especially to Mexico, as they send some $20 Billion plus, back to Mexico each year.
The politicians are the ones feigning stupid on this issue. They should read some of the facts and figures, rather than the
La Raza and Chamber of Commerce propaganda.

Some of our so-called “Republicans” should really be counted among the “dhimmicrats”.

Its not 12 million. Its 30 Million. And why cant we deport them?
I believe it was Ted Nugent who responded to that question: Mexico did.

There was an interesting item in the business report on a local radio station here in the NYC area within the last couple of weeks. From what the guest was saying, the real push here isn't for citizenship at all: it's for a flood of new temporary visas that would allow these foreigners to work here. Oddly enough, it seems that there's an understanding among a lot of government and business leaders that most of these illegal immigrants don't really want to stay in the U.S.. This reflects your comment about Mexicans returning home after a few years.

Think majority of Latinos in Tx. are Republican. Uh. Did they help elect Cruz? Uh. First of all have to register Latinos then get them to vote.
Just enforce e-verify with employer sanctions hefty enough to hurt. Problems solved.

You good comment have struck a thought of my own. The DemonRATs have given the illegals the idea that if they act as a mob they can get anything they want. They can play one party against the other to reserve their exclusive spot at the Government Trough:

Yep, me too. BTW, did anybody see Laura Ingraham take George Will to the cleaners this morning on immigration? Maybe she should run for office.

Damn...Rand Paul is leaps and bounds better than the likes of Boehner, McCain, McConnell, Lindsey Graham.
Don't agree with everything he stands for, but he does believe in the constitution.

If we deported all 20 million illegals we wouldn't have to worry about Texas going dem.Wrong. Legal immigration will eventually make Texas a blue state and the Dems the permanent majority party. Demography is destiny.

Yeah, but he played the identity politics game this morning on TV, which I can’t stand. He said the GOP needs to include more hispanics and other groups, as if we were currently not allowing them into the party. What conclusion am I to draw from his comments, other than that he thinks we should change our principles?

Again, this is what ‘lesser evil’ looks like when it gets elected. Remember that the next time you hear a Freeper or anyone else demanding we accept ‘lesser evil’ folks. And judge it accordingly.
To: skeeter
There is nothing “harsh” about making illegals leave.
Btw he is positioning for his presidential run.
