Sandra Fluke forgoes congressional bid to run for state Senate

Democratic attorney and activist Sandra Fluke has decided against running for retiring Rep. Henry A. Waxman’s congressional seat, instead planning a bid for the state Senate. “I am extremely moved by the outpouring of local and national support I have received since I announced that I was considering running for office. My entire career has been devoted to the public interest, whether representing victims of human trafficking or advocating for working families,” Fluke said late Tuesday night. “I am committed to continuing that fight in Sacramento, working to protect our environment, ensure our access to health care, and create the jobs that are desperately needed. While I strongly considered offering my candidacy for Congress, I feel there is a better way for me to advance the causes that are important to our community.”

They must have done or said something. No Republican will touch her after the Limbaugh issue.

You’re probably right, she’s a newbie and I’m sure with HogNose in there for 40 yrs there’s a long line of libs who have “served their time” in the queue and feel entitled to that seat.

that is weird. She would be a lock on that House Seat. Running for the State Senate is going to be much tougher. Thank God she is so dumb.

Probably. She would bring national conservative money into that race and they don’t want that. She’d be a symbolic takedown effort just for the fun of it.

What career? Has this slut ever even had a real job?

And, “devoted to the public interest”? Doesn’t she mean PUBIC interest? And what “public” interest does free contraception and prenatal infanticide serve?

She would likely be very vulnerable to other Dems branding her a carpetbagger in the primaries.

Don’t see any women’s rights in that little speech....hidden in the health care agenda I suppose.

She seems to be a Hillary copycat. But I think she’s going to get shot down royally and will wind up working in a DA’s office somewhere.

...ensure our access to health care...

What, she was planning to fight against Obamacare and maybe fix some of the issues that drive up health care costs, like excessive "compensation" for less than optimal health outcomes?

Nevermind, I'm sure she doesn't care about any of that. She could surprise me, but I doubt it. She is probably doing the liberal trick of using the term "health care" to refer to abortion.

Lock-stepping Sandra's Senate campaign aligns herself w/ Obama and Nancy Pelosi---advocates for a felatio free-for-all (cackle).

5/9/12 HUFF/POST REPORT---Cong Nancy Pelosi sent out an appeal on behalf of the DCCC:

"Isn't it great? President Obama just announced that he supports marriage equality for all Americans...

We must continue to fight - in the courts, in state legislatures, and in Congress - until all lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender Americans are guaranteed fair treatment in our country.

Add your name right now to stand with President Obama in support of marriage equality."

That’s probably right, but day-um, I’m shocked. None of those libs were invited to speak at their national convention and I guess we’ll see if they’ve got the chops to win.
