Army Brigadier General Martin P. Schweitzer received a "memoranda of concern" following a lurid set of emails between him and another general, according to documents obtained by The Washington Post.
Schweitzer was briefing Brigadier Gen. Jeffrey Sinclair on a recent meeting he had with tea party Rep. Renee Ellmers (R-N.C.) in 2011.
From WaPo:
First she is smoking hot, Schweitzer wrote. Second briefing went well . . . she was engaging . . . had done her homework. She wants us to know she stands with us and will work/push to get the Fort Bragg family resourced.

“More of the purge going on in the military?”
Probably, but not the premeditated variety. This one is an unexpected opportunity they won’t want to pass up methinks.

‘I dont think too many guys advance to flag rank by being stupid.
Offered in rebuttal: Gen. Petraeus. Thinking with the wrong head can strike any rank & usually with disastrous results.’
Petraeus’ fall from grace had nothing to do with stupidity, merely with lust. That happens to lots of people and is not relevant to the discussion.

To me, just an idiot General who doesn’t have the good sense to make such jokes in private.

“Petraeus fall from grace had nothing to do with stupidity, merely with lust.”
A fine line separates the two. Lust often results in stupid behavior, which is then called to account. As in this case.

As I heard a minister say once, “If no one who ever masturbated was refused entry into heaven, it would be a pretty lonely place.”

Today we accept fornication, adultery, and homosexuality in the DoD to varying extents at this point. At the same time, we go after someone who refers to a Congress woman as “smoking hot” and jokes about how he masturbated after seeing her.
The real question is how this got out? I bet one of his back stabbing narcissistic fake smiling buddies in uniform did him in.

“...you should be very discerning about what you put into an email.”
I have been shocked many times at emails I’ve gotten at work. And many times from lawyers, who should really know better.
To speak of this woman in this manner seems very unprofessional to me.

This is the kind of crap the politicization and fagitization of the military has led to, and yet some FReepers think this and the cheating scandals, Petraeus idiocy, etc are some kind of witch-hunt purging? C’mon, wise up people!

I read an interesting claim that the reason that all that got started was because a few high-ups in the nuclear command refused to allow nuclear weapons to be used in [essentially] a false-flag operation.
I honestly don't know; but there's some weird crap going on in DC and the power-centers.
