Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas) says that the newly launched Congressional Full Employment Caucus will “give President Obama a number of executive orders that he can sign.”
Jackson Lee made the statement while gathered with Democrats on January 29th to announce the establishment of the Full Employment Caucus.
“We will be answering the call of all of America because people need work and we’re not doing right by them by creating work,” Jackson Lee said. “I believe this caucus will put us on the right path and we’ll give President Obama a number of executive orders that he can sign with pride and strength.”
“In fact, I think that should be our number one agenda. Let’s write up these executive orders, draft them of course - and ask the president to stand with us on full employment.”
The Congressional Full Employment Caucus was launched last week by Rep. John Conyers (D-Mich.). Conyers website says: “The Congressional Full Employment Caucus will serve as a platform and working group for Members dedicated to identifying solutions to our current unemployment crisis and advocating for legislative action.”
Executive orders issued by a president have the full force of law and do not have to receive approval by the legislative branch of government. During his State of The Union address last week, President Obama made clear he was willing to use executive actions to sidestep Congress.
In addition to Conyers and Lee, members of the caucus include; Frederica Wilson (D-Fla.), Charles Rangel (D-N.Y.), Maxine Waters (D-Calif.), Barbara Lee (D-Calif.), Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas), José Serrano (D-N.Y.), and Mike Quigley (D-Ill.).

She doesn’t even understand the limitations of an Executive Order, let alone what planet/moon we landed on in 1969.

After the first couple of sentences, I went back to the top to see if this is satire. Sadly, it is not.
The people of her district have solidly earned The Cold Stare of Contempt.
Isn’t that circumventing the Constitution? Did Shelia break the law with the assertion she never intends to ‘vote’ on a bill within Congress, but rather craft Executive Orders?

Those failing that test can get a one way bus ticket back to Houston.
Except when they are not within the authority granted the President by the Constitution.......

Because once upon a time, Americans believed in giving everybody a fair shot at opportunity - not “outcome” - and a group of unscrupulous traitors took and used that sense of fair play, and the naive decency of the American people, to corrupt what was a wonderful system that people fought and died for over 200 years.
And here we are. At the whim of the stupid, the uneducated, the illiterate, the seditious, and the outright treasonous.
