Tuesday night live on C-SPAN, President Obama outlines his agenda for the coming year when he delivers his fifth State of the Union Address before a Joint Session of Congress.
Leading up to the President's speech, C-SPAN sets the scene from the White House and Capitol Hill with perspectives from Former Speechwriter to President Obama Jon Lovett, Senate Historian Don Ritchie, and Gallup Editor in Chief Frank Newport.
Following the State of the Union, House Republican Conference Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) delivers the Republican response. McMorris Rodgers is in her fifth term representing Washington’s Fifth District.

No, he won’t massage it, he will write orders that disregard it just as he has with other constitutional writings he doesn’t like. I think Texas would stop him from getting our guns no matter what order he writes. He would have to declare war against Texas to get our guns and that wouldn’t work, either.
You see, Democrats who grew up in Texas also have their guns and they wouldn’t give them up, either. Guns are not political in Texas, they are a tradition and Democrats hunt and go to gun ranges, too. This state is so big and ranches are so big, guns have always been used on ranches and hunting areas. The state is being run over by wild hogs and the state encourages hunters to get them. They destroy crops, kill other animals, and will kill a human if humans accidentally get where they are.
Just listened to Rand Paul’s response. It was nicely done, but Mike Lee’s was ever so much more dynamic. Liked Lee’s speech a lot better.
You and I were listening to two different Luntz focus groups. They didn’t like most of what Obama had to say and were knocking him right and left. Obama did a terrible job according to the focus group. They overwhelmingly didn’t like his speech. Gave me hope.

I’ve already said I would turn down that offer to read that speech - that was her only choice or she had to read it. Last year, it was Rubio who read that speech and that one was also canned and a fluff piece as I heard it when he gave it. If every Republican refused to read it, then maybe they would change their method.

Did anyone else notice how small and dull obozo’s eyes looked tonight? No spark, just dull...he has no interest in what he’s doing. Makes me feel good to see the big bozo looking smaller and duller than ever.

He's an even worse failure than what that chart shows. It's a couple of years old now.
Right. The Goopers apparently found someone pathetic enough to fit the bill. Her little rebuttal was pathetic.
Less than 20% of the male population of the United States was willing to join the fight for Liberty beginning in 1775. It may have been less than 15%. Yet we prevailed because we continued to press the fight even in the face of defeat.
We are facing a formidable foe. They can tap our phones, confiscate our guns and ridicule us, but there is an American spirit that permeates our country and we need to ignite the spark that brought us liberty in order to keep it.
We cannot give up now. The TEA Party has just begun. Obamacare may be the spark that wakes up America to what we have, as a nation, lost by our passive acquiescence to the attacks on our liberty that have rendered the Constitution nothing more than a dead letter. We need to revive that document and we need to take the message to the streets.
These are the times that try men's souls.
Indeed. We have but no choice.
