A North Dakota farmer convicted of terrorizing law officers two years ago is the first American to be sentenced to prison with the help of a Predator drone, Forbes reported.
Rodney Brossart, who was accused at the time of stealing six cows from a neighbor, was arrested after a summer-long standoff in 2011. Authorities say Brossart family members refused to allow deputies on their farmstead and didn't show up for court hearings.

Why?Because they wanted to for reasons known only to them.Who’s going to stop them?
“Brossart wont be the last person convicted with the help of a drone as law enforcement deploys more of them. What is worrisome is that drones designed to protect American borders are being used to conduct surveillance on Americans themselves. Records obtained by the Electronic Frontier Foundation, a civil liberties group, found that CBP Predator drones flew 700 missions between 2010 and 2012 for other law enforcement agencies, including the FBI, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and local police departments. CBP Predators were equipped with Vehicle and Dismount Exploitation Radar (VADER), developed by the military to detect insurgents in Afghanistan.”

He should be thankful they didnt have any hellfire missiles on the drone that day.
So what about cow stealing? Did he have the cows or didn’t he? If he didn’t have stolen cows, then the only charge is violence caused by the gubment.
Or did the owner of the cows decline to press charges? What really happened here?

No search warrant, no problem! Just use a drone to illegally search the property!
Wait, so he was NOT guilty of stealing but guilty of not allowing authorities onto his property to investigate a crime which did NOT occur????
so these drones are being used to watch cow farmers in flyover land?

Interesting map. The biggest gaps in coverage seem to be where we would need them the most... along the border of Mexico.
Not to worry, the law enforcement officers and prosecutors will never follow those unconstitutional orders to enforce laws based on politics.
right?
The EPA is using them to look for environmental crimes.
