This is the first picture of nun and new mother Roxana Rodriguez.
The 33-year-old woman, a nun with the order of the Little Disciples of Jesus, stunned her mother superior and local church chiefs after giving birth last week to a baby boy which she has called Francis, in honour of the current Pope.
Sister Roxana initially claimed to have no idea that she was pregnant and thought her labour pains were 'stomach cramps' when an ambulance rushed her to hospital in severe pain after being called by fellow nuns when she collapsed at her nunnery.

No disrespect for or to Catholics, I just don't get it.
Sheah, yeah, right!
And monkeys fly outta my a ss...
Fits in real well with the continued attacks on the Catholic Church.
Alinsky tactics to be sure.
“The 33-year-old woman, a nun with the order of the Little Disciples of Jesus, stunned her mother superior and local church chiefs after giving birth last week to a baby boy which she has called Francis, in honour of the current Pope.”
Mother Superior jumped the gun

And she and her old boyfriend have brought a child into this world. Her and his first responsibility would seem to be to take care of their baby.
NO, can you enlighten me?
What I am asking is why part of the order prohibits the procreation....and MARRIAGE of those who participate in the structure of the Church? (ie Nuns and Pries
If you can answer that minus your snark, I’d appreciate it.
There was a TV show quite some years back, “I Didn’t Know I was Pregnant”.
err... Catholics until recently were criticised for having too large families and they are still criticized for being anti contraceptives...
I think it is because Jesus and Paul believed in it. Paul also said it was BETTER to be celibate - if you can take it.
I should have been more clear, I meant the order of the Church.
Not for Nuns and Priests.
Shes not a Nun anymore.
Not completely disagreeing with you since you may be right.
