(CNSNews.com) - President Obama says he will use his upcoming State of the Union Address to "mobilize the country around the national mission of making sure our economy offers everyone who works hard a fair shot at opportunity and success."
In his weekly radio address on Saturday, he outlined some of the steps he'll take to make 2014 "a year of action."
"Working folks are looking for the kind of stable, secure jobs that went overseas in the past couple decades. So next week, I'll join companies and colleges and take action to boost the high-tech manufacturing that attracts the kind of good new jobs a growing middle class requires," Obama said.

Maybe he can mandate that everyone take out a $20,000 loan
This sounds of desperation and distraction. We need to keep the focus on the absolute failure, incompetence, ineptness, and downward spiral that these evil people have inflicted on the greatest nation that has ever existed.
I’m good with this, as long as the mission is impeachment!
He must be stopped.
The more the government does the more we will need government to do things. Like a drug addict needing a larger hit to achieve the same high.
The opposite is also true. The less the government does, the less we’ll need government to do.
Working folks are looking for the kind of stable, secure jobs
If they are working why are the looking for jobs?
WASHINGTON DC (Associated Punks) Starting his sixth year in office President Barack Hussein Obama promises to focus on the economy like a laser beam, which he also promised annually since 2009. Saying that he will recruit all Americans into a national mission to restore the economy and to glorify the motherland, the President says his new plan will "mobilize the country around the national mission of making sure our economy offers everyone who works hard a fair shot at opportunity and success."
The President said that he will meet with Ivory Tower Academics and campaign contributors and those corporate titans who receive large government subsidies to devise a plan to bring jobs back to the country. One part of the plan that has already been decided on is more generous handouts to the unemployed.
House Democrat Leader Nancy Pelosi explains unemployment benefits are a major boost for the economy in times like this... if everyone were unemployed, there would be nothing to worry about at all. A much higher minimum wage will also very likely be a part of the package.
Former Secretary of State and possible 2016 contender Hillary Clinton also has input into the process claiming that the only way to give everyone a fair shot at opportunity and success is to take it away from those who have it now and spread it around. We will take things away from you for the common good.
After 5 years of economic recovery the future looks bleak indeed, a depressed Christmas season already has casualties, with Macy's announcement of the elimination 2,500 jobs and closing several store locations.
Businesses are eager to hire the President said before the Press Office edited the statement therefor me and some college professors will concoct a scheme to make it look like the economy is better
An anonymous insider said that massive subsidies to corporations that hire people may very well be part of the plan, which means massive new borrowing and more national debt. Also under consideration was a mandate for every American to take out a $25,000 loan in order to boost consumer spending.
Critics have immediately labeled the announcement and possible plans as insane.
> We stopped in Honolulu for a day back in 1961, on our way back stateside via MSTS.
It was a kinder, gentler time.
My mission would be to keep two people from meeting, however there is much debate as to which place and time that would be...: )
For some reason, brings to mind Mao’s “Great Leap Forward”.
Indeed. Every plan he comes up with relies on redistribution from the productive to the leeches at some level.
Yeah. Them too.
“Is this going to be the New Deal the Fair Deal, the Square Deal, or as I suspect, the False Shuffle again?”
How about “Raw Deal”?
Exactly. I thought that I was finally inured to the anti-white actions and policies of this man, but his appointment of Debo Adegbile to head the Civil Rights Division of the Justice Dept. still shocks. The defender of cold-blooded cop-killer Mamia Abdul-Jamal, avowed hater of whites (undoubtedly, even of those leftist whites who supported his “cause” with their money and their celebrity). This country is in a pressure cooker of racial division-all one way, black on white-and Obama and his minions are simultaneously turning up the heat and clamping down the lid as tightly as possible. I think they’re deliberately trying to make the whole thing blow sky-high as an excuse for enacting severe penalties and restrictions upon whites, and as an excuse for a redistribution scheme which would make Lenin’s against the kulaks look like a game of musical chairs. If that sounds paranoid, consider this-who would have ever believed, even after the blatant injustice of the Black Panther voter intimidation and their protection by Holder, and the Zimmerman show trial, that we would have Adegbile as head of the “civil rights” division, and the blatant, “what are you going to do about it” redistributionist schemes which transfer wealth and income from productive whites to criminal minorities, or that in the name of “disparate impact”, white students would be mandated to receive as harsh a penalty for tardiness or talking in class, as a black student would receive for threatening fellow students or teachers with violence or sexual assault?
I don’t care who calls me “racist”, considering the present elastic and distorted definition of that epithet now. This whole administration is racist against whites and doesn’t care who knows it now, that an need for re-election for Hussein personally is over.
And he has neutralised the “opposition”, the representation of the right, in various ways, and they seem perfectly resigned to their position.
> President announces New Economic Policy is a great leap forward
The satire around here can suck you in like a vacuum. I have to watch you guys...: )
He has mobilized a lot of people but not in a way favorable to him.

I was sort of thinking the same thing. What is the ‘progressive’ lingo we are seeing here?
work hard...fair shot...success...national mission...high-tech...
Oh now I get it. He is going to nationalize the high-tech industry to guarantee those college kids a job.
