WASHINGTON — House Speaker John Boehner says he believes Chris Christie remains a serious contender for the Republican 2016 presidential nomination, despite the traffic jam scandal engulfing the New Jersey governor.
Reporters asked Boehner about Christie's problems on Thursday, even as the governor was holding a news conference in Trenton, N.J.

Bonehead is a pretender and so is Christie.
No surprise here.
This isn’t an “engulfing scandal” .....no one here is really reporting on it and it’s already being supplanted by the latest rantings of Rodman and/or the polar vortex.
The election is 2+ years away and Christie fired the person responsible. Not knowing what your underlings are doing seems to be a pre-requisite for the presidency if Obama is any benchmark.
Besides, Christie will run - but he will not get the nomination.
Of course he does. The backroom deals between the DNC, GOP and MSM have already been worked out and set into motion. Christie is the choice for the guy who will pretend to try and defeat Hillary.

Christie: responsible for (childish) political retaliation which resulted in great public inconvenience and possible death - still a candidate
Palin: appeared awkward in a hostile interview set up by an incompetent campaign staff - not a candidate
And they wonder why they’re losing.
This is the kind of weapons-grade stupid that helps run the Republican Party these days. People talk about wanting the Tea Party to take it over. Why?

Christie is a GOP diversion for lefties to pick on. They will pick on everything and everything - let’s see if they get as far as aligning Camden, New Jersey with Detroit.
BTW....on Christie’s assertion that he didn’t know about the traffic incident....
Any cursory investigation of his staff in regards to the bridge lane closures would have revealed the e-mails and their culpability in the matter.
Christie did not investigate the allegations that his staff was involved in the bridge lane closures.
Christie did not investigate the allegations because he didn’t want to know the truth.
Christie didn’t want to know, because he already knew...Christie himself was behind the bridge lane closures. ANYONE who thinks or says otherwise is either extremely naive, or lying...either-or—pick one.
