(Reuters) - The Justice and Education departments unveiled guidelines on Wednesday to prevent schools from violating civil rights laws and keep students out of jail after data found minorities and the disabled were more likely than others to face discipline or arrest.
Attorney General Eric Holder said the guidelines were aimed at giving direction to school law enforcement officers, protecting the civil rights of students, and keeping kids in the classroom.

So if you are a minority you can break the law a little more then someone else before they arrest you? Is this saying that minorities break the law more often then others and therefor need special dispensation?

Although students with disabilities make up 12 percent of U.S. students, they are 19 percent of students who are suspended and almost a quarter of those getting a school-related arrest. …Funny how there is absolutely no definition offered for “students with disabilities”. I have never seen any students with what I understood to be disabilities at greater risk of being disciplined or arrested for any reason. The ones that got arrested were those that sold drugs, were violent or engaged in other criminal activity.
I understand loosening the rules on the truly disabled. Teachers have gone overboard with them.
I don’t see where minorities fit in. What makes them so special? Are they disabled or something?
Aren’t whites becoming minorities? Maybe the word “minorities” should be defined.
So White kids that can walk will be punished more severely than others? How very fair and nice.
I think Obama and Holder will be happy when all the whites are dead or in jail.

I’m sure the teachers and the kids who want to learn are whooping it up over this Holder action.
Hell, why not just give the kids guns and let them finish off the whole class.

At first blush I’m thinking “why would kids in wheel chairs or with other physical ailments get in trouble more”?
But no. They mean sociopaths who have been designated to be dyslexic, or have ADD or some such broadly defined subjective “disability”.
