When MSNBC's Thomas Roberts announced the new line of Duck Commander guns on January 3rd, he was joined by Len Everett of the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence. Everett claimed Phil Robertson, of Duck Dynasty fame, made his controversial comments to sell guns to conservative, middle-aged, white males and criticized the Robertson family for selling the kinds of guns used in mass shootings.
Roberts used leading questions to guide Everett in making these points throughout the segment.
For example, Roberts introduced Everett by pointing out that the new line of guns includes a "semi-automatic pistol" and "two semi-automatic rifles." Moreover, "the pistol and one of the rifles have military style designs with large capacity magazines holding at least 25 rounds."
This allowed Everett to respond in disbelief that Mossberg firearms would partner with a family like the Robertsons to make guns, especially guns with "high capacity" magazines.
Everett pointed out the common elements in "mass shootings" are "the semi-automatics"(continued)

The other common element: Self-identify as liberal/progressive/socialist.
Sorry to throw more realism but its race too
Blacks and Latinos murder at much higher rates
And their proportions have grown
White violent crime rate is about constant
There is a third common element. These mass shootings take place in “gun free zones”
No additional comment needed.
msnbc is owned and operated by satan.
Is there a reason anything these idiot say on that channel nobody watches gets posted here 24/7?
I could see if they mattered but, the channel is barely on TV at this point.
If folks quit commenting on the stupidity aired at MSNBC, their natural death would hasten.
Pay attention to moves in the military. The FedGov is trying to figure out who will follow orders.
How many mass murders have been committed with a shotgun, anyway?
Most of the Aurora, CO shooting was done with a 12 gauge pump gun. The only other one that comes to mind is the Navy Yard shooting in DC. Unless you want to count the most recent incident where only one girl was murdered before the shooter discovered there was an armed security guard on site and committed suicide.

Police: Boy, 13, kills cousin, 16, over Xbox
By Peter Nickeas and Rosemary Regina Sobol Tribune reporters
6:45 a.m. CST, January 6, 2014
The 13-year-old shot his cousin, Raymond Galloway, while he was sleeping around 5:50 a.m. Sunday in the 500 block of East 38th Place, police said.
The two boys had been arguing earlier about an Xbox, according to a police report.
The boy was charged as a juvenile with first-degree murder just after midnight Monday and was scheduled to appear in juvenile court later in the day.
Police said the 13-year-old admitted to the crime with his mother present. Its not clear where the boy got the gun and no adults have been charged.
The other thing that pops up in almost every case is that the shooter was on anti-depressants.
Makes one wonder about the correlation vs causation factor.
Are they on anti-depressants because they’re deranged,
and being deranged is the primary factor in the mass shooting? (Factor A causes effect B and C)
Or is it a side effect of the anti-depressant drug that drives them over the edge to attempt a mass shooting? (Factor A causes C)
yeah, but it's a lot easier to throw them in the booby hatch because they're dangerously unstable than because they're liberal. jus' sayin'
But the left protests “throwing them in the booby hatch” because it “violates their civil rights”.
do you think it will be any easier to throw them in the booby hatch because they're liberal?
I wouldn’t want to propose that at all.
I would vehemently oppose that, actually.
We can’t be incarcerating people because of their political beliefs - we know where that leads.
The left, however, would have no qualms about incarcerating as “insane” any who opposed them ideologically.
Little girlie boys on ritlin are hardly watching Duck Dynasty.
which is precisely why I suggested that we revisit our national policy on institutionalizing the dangerously unstable — with which you seemed to want to argue.
Don’t pick a fight where there is none, FRiend.
I fully support putting the dangerously unstable under supervision and movement restriction, and even those deemed incapable of taking care of themselves due to mental problems.
I fully deride the policy of the 80’s where the ACLU got all the insane turned out on the street to become homeless.
