'Twas the day of Christmas amidst holiday cheer,
Aunt Ruth with her pie and Uncle Ned with his beer,
They all knew that Saint Nicholas had been there,
When all of a sudden somebody mentions Obamacare.

While wearing red plaid pajamas, a high end watch while looking just like Rachel Madcow. Probably zero.

My family includes some medical sales staff, a few nurses and some old retirees. Needless to say none of them were happy at all.

I told my daughter and son in law to expect the economy to crash because of it this spring. Told them to plan for rough times.

I found it interesting that everyone at the table discussed Obamacare like they all had been reading FreeRepublic and watching FOX News.
We talked until someone mentioned that it was time for pie.

We actually did talk about it. My daughter, an RN (as is my daughter-in-law), mentioned that some people in their hospital and clinic had just recently lost their jobs “right before Christmas”, and that at least one was told that it was due to there will not be enough revenues under the new insurance regulations for them to stay on, employed there.
Then followed a discussion about the problems with malpractice fears driving up the utilization for many expensive procedures and tests, the way charges are made for every little cotton ball used on a patient, etc., etc.
