I didn’t because I didn’t want to lose my Christmas dinner.

While wearing red plaid pajamas, a high end watch while looking just like Rachel Madcow. Probably zero.

My family includes some medical sales staff, a few nurses and some old retirees. Needless to say none of them were happy at all.

I told my daughter and son in law to expect the economy to crash because of it this spring. Told them to plan for rough times.

Not a word about THAT turkey!

We actually did talk about it. My daughter, an RN (as is my daughter-in-law), mentioned that some people in their hospital and clinic had just recently lost their jobs “right before Christmas”, and that at least one was told that it was due to there will not be enough revenues under the new insurance regulations for them to stay on, employed there.
Then followed a discussion about the problems with malpractice fears driving up the utilization for many expensive procedures and tests, the way charges are made for every little cotton ball used on a patient, etc., etc.

We discussed it at Christmas dinner. We made jokes about it and discussed the total failure of everything progressives have done EVER.
I also reminded everyone how in 1994, they all made fun of me for being the only conservative at the table.
My parents were FDR and JFK Democrats.
My brother was a recent college graduate. Nuff said.
My sister was a “compassionate” liberal. He husband was a New England Democrat.
My brother’s fiancee was a “compassionate” liberal and recent college grad.
My wife voted Republican, but didn’t really care one way or the other.
Clinton converted my brother and parents to conservative.
Obama converted the rest.
Thanks for overreaching Progressive politicians! It’s nice to go from being the “Right-wing Extremist” at Christmas to being the “Elder Conservative”.

We were sitting around the Christmas tree, about to open presents, when suddenly this strange looking man in pajamas came downstairs and started yapping about Obamacare. We tied him up, blindfolded him, threw him in the back of the pickup, and drove 20 miles away after which we dumped him into the woods on a remote dirt road.

No one raised the subject.
All were allowed to finish their dinner and stay for dessert.
