Since A&E is still showing the show, their outrage is pure BS.
The point everyone seem to be missing is, the show is the #1 cable program because of the Robertson clan, not because it happens to be on the A&E Channel. A&E was the accidental beneficiary of a guy whose beliefs and values they despise. It’s as if a Christian network aired soft-core porn movies.
The Robertsons should take their bat, ball, and TV show somewhere else where they will not be mocked and punished for expressing their first amendment rights. If they do not, anyone who professes to admire, trust, and beleive in them ought to take a second look.
Yes I know “it’s a business decision”, but it would also be the height of hypocrisy for them to stay on A&E now.
And even if they were offended, so what?
Remember when Coca Cola decided that their customers REALLY wanted a different soft drink instead of the product that made them #1?
A&E has just had their “New Coke moment” and alienated their loyal customer base who made their product #1.
To Coca Cola’s benefit, in less than 3 months, Coke Classic was back in production.

Every state and region has it’s own “brand” of redneck.
Sarah Palin, Bobby Jindahl and Ted Cruz come out early with supportive, non-judgmental statements about Phil’s comments. Not so with the so-called conservative media.
In this case Goldberg lays out the redneck premise probably to try to insulate himself from Phil’s conventional religious views. Virtually all of the talking heads on Fox News seem compelled to castigate Phil’s “vile” comments before they support his right to blah blah blah

I just listened to the Bill Oreilly show. Him and his buddies Howard Kurtz and Bernie Goldberg were taking turns calling Phil Robertson’s ideas “ignorant”. Bernie and Howard were both for kicking him off the show. Bernie said there was a lot of things in the Bible including what Jesus said that was untrue. These northeast elitists are no friend of ours. Let’s stick with Phil and the “Old Time Religion” that will save us all from Hell. I dread to think where these relativistic pontificators will end up..

Wrong. His description of the gay sex act of males is what forced GLAAD to push the issue. They rely on the "We're just like you" argument to further their agenda. Anything that vividly demonstrates that their behavior is not nearly as mainstream as they have maintained, must be silenced. Phil Robertson shined a light on the black hole (yes, I said it) They wish to keep from people's minds. If a person is forced to consider the homosexual act, they will inevitably withdraw what little support there is.

Gays should read “Everybody Poops” if they don’t get what an anus is for....and it’s not for sex.
You know what’s odd ... even though Phil Robertson didn’t compare homosexuality to bestiality, they are comparable. So are all sins, because God does not rank them in order of severity, with the exception of blaspheming the Holy Spirit. God detests ALL sin in equal measure and sent His Son to die to save us from all of it.
Any sin separates us from God and it denies Christ’s mission, which was to make us holy through His perfect sacrifice.
