Phil Robertson, patriarch of the “Duck Dynasty” clan, is being slammed for controversial comments he made about homosexuality in an interview in the January issue of GQ.
“It seems like, to me, a vagina—as a man—would be more desirable than a man’s anus. That’s just me,” Robertson told the magazine. “I’m just thinking: There’s more there! She’s got more to offer. I mean, come on, dudes! You know what I’m saying? But hey, sin: It’s not logical, my man. It’s just not logical.”
When the reporter asked Robertson what he found sinful, he said “Start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there. Bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men.”
The self-proclaimed Bible-thumper then went on to paraphrase Corinthians: “Don’t be deceived. Neither the adulterers, the idolaters, the male prostitutes, the homosexual offenders, the greedy, the drunkards, the slanderers, the swindlers—they won’t inherit the kingdom of God. Don’t deceive yourself. It’s not right.”(continued)

The man is entitled to his personal beliefs. He was not saying gays should be rounded up and done away with.
Nothing. Not a damn thing.

I have never watched this show.
Guess I need to download a few episodes and give it a squint.
He was speaking the truth from the unalterable Word of God about sodomites and their evil ways. The Lord will Mightily Bless Mr. Phil Robertson and the entire family.
Sounds to me like he quoted or paraphrased I Corinthians 6:9-10. It wasn’t just his personal opinion. If that’s the case, GLAAD’s beef isn’t with him, it’s with the Bible:

That’s exactly what Ass & Entertainment is doing.
Maybe he should have retold the story of Sodom and Gomorrah. They refused Lot’s daughters and wanted the male angels/messengers. BOOM!!!
What you stated in another post, GeronL, needs to be become a reality. A FreeRepublic television network. Mr. Robertson and our own Mr. Robinson would be a formidable duo on the side of Truth, speaking out for American Exceptionalism and Godly Principles.

Not the way I've read it.
The gays wanted to "know" the angels, as in having sex with them.
That is the accepted version of "know" in the Bible.
As far as I understand it, gays have never challenged this interpretation of "know".
And that is a VERY gentle description of what the homosexuals REALLY wanted to do.
I'm not a Biblical scholar, but the intent was quite clear.
And I've never heard of God destroying an entire city over "rudeness".
Perhaps someone can clarify if I'm wrong.
