From what I read, Harvard suffers from severe grade inflation with the great majority of grades being “A”.

Obama’s Weather Underground buddies did once plan to blow up one of the libraries at Columbia University here in New York City (and also launch an attack on Fort Dix NJ). Instead, three of the idiots were killed when the bomb accidentally exploded in an expensive townhouse apartment they were using. It belonged to the parents of Bill Ayers’ then girlfriend.

From what I can tell, Thayer Hall is a freshman dorm; Emerson Hall is home to Philosophy dept; and Sever Hall is misc classrooms. Don’t know where admission records are kept or if they are anywhere near the tight cluster of above 3 bldgs. (Map: http://map.harvard.edu). It wouldn’t matter, though, as the entire campus will be shut down tightly with everyone except LE sent home.
Occam’s Razor says it’s a student prank.
They had a bomb scare at A&M last year when my son was a freshman. Ut didn’t make the lead story at Drudge. Several universities got bomb scares on the same day last year. They were all large public niversities.
....looks like it may be a prank...
