Tea Party steps up war of words against Boehner over budget vote
Fox News ^ | December 14, 2013

Tea party activists are pushing back hard against Speaker John Boehner for attacking conservative groups that are opposed to bipartisan budget legislation approved this week by the House, claiming he has “declared war on the Tea Party” with his blunt criticism.

In a fundraising email to supporters, Tea Party Patriots referred to the Ohio Republican as a “ruling class politician” who only pretends to be a conservative while remaining a “tax-and-spend liberal,” The Hill reported Friday.

The group, which supported efforts to defund the Affordable Care Act, accused Boehner of passing a “back-room budget deal which increases discretionary spending, does nothing to reform entitlements, and fully funds ObamaCare.”

The organization called the deal “an out and out betrayal of the American people.” …

They attack the Tea Party at their own peril.

They must want to lose.

Successful candidates for the Senate have spent upwards of ten million dollars. I don’t know what a primary costs but I’d guess another ten million. I’d say primary any RINOs but that would mean spending twenty million dollars. There can’t be a lot of Tea Partiers with that kind of money.

Too bad we don’t seem to have a well-connected strategist to help out. Years ago I’d have said it was Karl Rove, but he has proved more RINO than Tea Party.

Well, the people of Ohio have some serious thinkun’ ta do...

But if you ask me, I don’t think they have the guts to dump this guy...

I would love to be proven wrong, but I am just not going to lay down any bets, or hold my breath...

Yes, Rove has done a lot for the Democratic Party. Hope he can find somewhere to spend his thirty pieces of silver when the Dems and RINOs finally deal a death blow to the economy.

Actually, I’d have said years ago that money would have bought most any election. Here in Georgia, Republicans and conservatives were mostly content to try in increase the lead of ‘Republicans’ over Democrats in the state house and senate and governorship, and they were content to accept the then perceived ‘foibles’ of a representative that was ‘not quite up to snuff.’

However, given the last five years and the absolute betrayal of a Senate and House that have given into the self-survival instinct (i.e., appease, trick and lie to your constituents at home, etc.), I’d say that money is second to dissatisfaction at home, one that I can say is vehement satisfaction and need for retribution against a traitorous GOP.

I am going to do everything I can to unseat my Senators (Chambliss is leaving but I’ll fight against his GOP chosen successor). And, as a result of his recent traitorous vote on the budget, my Congressman, Doug Collins.

I don’t care about keeping the majority in the House, or winning the Senate if it means we keep dishonorable people like this up there. Never again.

The ONLY good thing that has come of this:

"...bill is also designed to eliminate the threat of another budget shutdown like the one this fall."... and avoid letting the press distract people with "stories" about "republican shut downs" and "party of no."

Quite accidentally, while offending his base and not moving towards fiscal stability - indeed moving away from it - Boehner got lucky and achieved a likely path to making the House majority larger and gaining a Senate majority.

It will be up to us to make sure that we get tea party people elected to enact appropriate reforms. If we don't achieve getting tea party people elected, then we only have ourselves to blame. Let's avoid that and just frickin' work like hell to get tea party people elected.

I'd really like to NOT get on here after midterms having to bitch about GOPe vs tea party. I want enough tea in the House and Senate to not have to fight - peace thru strength ya know. This bone-headed deal will help us do that - AS WILL the country's focus on 0bamacare and the economy.

He could stay in congress if the folks in Ohio want to keep the creep but he has to go as speaker. Problem is who do we get to replace him, Ryan? We need some one that uses a wheel barrow.

I’m hoping the tea party candidate’s appeal to most will allow him or her to use the internet to get enough cash.

Who knows stats on recent tea wins? Did they have to have big donors?

...this is the guy who CAN investigate and subpoena through the House Oversight Committee and all we hear are empty threats......he spends way too much time under a sun lamp.
Meanwhile, billions are being stolen while HE sobs through his tenure...totally useless!

I agree he won’t be dumped by Ohio but the Speakership is another story. The more tea folks elected, the less likely is a continued Boehner speakership IMO

What do you say about Dr. Paul Broun to replace the horrible Chambliss?

As for Collins - I like him in spite of his recent vote. In fact I think the result of that vote will be a major component in taking the Senate.

We have to make sure the right people are elected to take over such new majority as you say.

Dick Morris, of all people, came out and said it. Boehmer would not be Speaker except for the Tea Party. What happened, of course, is that the Leadership expected to co-opt the newcomers and teacher them how to “get-along in this town.” That happened in a few cases but they were unable to tame the caucus, and this has outraged those Lobbyist who expect to bribe enough politicians in both parties to get their wishes.
