John Boehner plans to push amnesty legislation through the House, after the primary filing deadline for candidates. The move would prevent Tea Party from challenging GOP lawmakers who support amnesty in 2014.
Scott Braddock reported on Tuesday that in recent weeks, various Texas business interests have told Quorum Report that Boehner has been telling them that he will start holding immigration votes not long after the filing deadline has passed.
Braddock noted that those business community sources spoke with him on condition of anonymity because their conversations were held behind closed doors and they added it wasnt made clear to them just how confidential the information was meant to be.
Nevertheless, what was made clear was that Boehner felt the need to protect House Republican incumbents who are otherwise seen as conservative but have expressed an openness to immigration reform that includes a robust guest worker program, Braddock wrote, before citing three specific Texas GOP congressmen: Reps. Ted Poe (R-TX), John Carter (R-TX) and Sam Johnson (R-TX).

Big money trumps the voting base.
Boehner & co are so comfortable in their elite bubble they have forgotten voters can replace them.
Boehner, Cantor, Ryan, McCain, Graham, Rubio and their ilk are turning what is now an overwhelming defeat for the Democrats in 2014 into a Republican disaster, perhaps even loss of the House (although with Boehner in charge it really doesn’t matter).
For the 18 Hispanics they win over by pandering, they will lose 8 million conservatives who won’t put up with the Boehner backstabbing.
You Republicans out there - know that the RINO establishment, the Chamber of Commerce, and the Wall Street Journal think you are a bunch of stupid, ignorant, mind-numbed robots who will still vote for the RINOs because you have no place else to go.
They haven’t yet learned the lessons of McCain and Romney that these voters don’t have to go anywhere; they can also stay home.
“With Obamacare being fought out, the GOP isn’t going to risk getting destroyed over immigration reform.”
You just don’t realize the stupidity of the Republican establishment. Cantor, Rubio, Boehner and the like ARE going to push amnesty because their overpaid consultants and cheap labor contributors tell them to. America is not their concern - greed and personal gain are.
The DC politicians get $$ and campaign support from K Street lobbyists and their pals.
They do not care that the real unemployment for us little people is 30 some percent and headed to 40 percent.
This could be why the washerwoman keeps saying the Democrats will run on Obamacare. They won’t HAVE to run on anything to win when 1/2 of registered Republicans stay home because of Bonehead’s amnesty scheme. All they have to do is tell their half-witted supporters to give them money to help them complete the destruction of America and go fishing until Election Day.
I have told my rep in no uncertain terms that if Boehner brings up an immigration bill and it passes without a majority of GOP votes for it, then he is asked to initiate removal as Speaker.
We have not had a worse Republican Speaker of the House IMO.
This is why we need at least the threat of a third party.
The GOP, if they pass amnesty, should simply disappear in the 2014 elections
The GOPe doesn’t care about winning as much as they care about doing the bidding of the Democrats. They are owned by the Democrat Party, we only pretend to have democracy in this country.
Liberals do as liberals do.
Rand Paul is going to support amnesty too. He has spoken in favor of it before.
Getting on their cases can’t hurt.
Call his office, express outrage like I did.

I am not kidding.
His office staffer didn’t know why I was upset, and I explained myself very well.
This is all just political posturing — it wouldn’t do to not be “working on” immigration “reform”, but it doesn’t mean anything resembling amnesty could pass, and any actual immigration LAW reform (which is really what is under discussion) favored by the Pubbies would be a snowball in Hell of the Demonrats. But hey, that doesn’t mean that FINOs won’t try to keep everyone directed away from the threat posed by the Demagogic Party. Thanks GeronL.
