Our family is very proud and excited about our son's early decision acceptance to Hillsdale College to attend in the fall of next year. He's also earned a nice academic merit scholarship that we desperately need. We'll figure out how to pay for the rest of it.
Couldn't be prouder or more hopeful about his future.
You got the tuition. Housing and stuff in Hillsdale is CHEAP. My family hails from there.
Be careful what you wish for, most of them are nothing but liars, cheats, pimps and whores.........
The fact that “Glory to God Automotive” is still open after all these years says a lot about Hillsdale.
Thanks for that link — what an awesome idea for a ministry!
I’d had an idea for a TV show (yeah, it would NEVER get produced in this current media culture), about a priest who has a ministry teaching kids how to fix cars. But there it is!
“What we need is a Hayes manual for the soul.”
:)
I look at things like Glory to God automotive and realize that I have lived in the wrong place all my life.
My daughter recently spoke about Texas:.
Black Friday: Texas -
1. Cause it was in the 60’s today, it was possible to have scores of handsome Marines in full ceremonial dress at stoplights and at the doors of major retailers like Best Buy collecting toys and money for Toys For Tots. Replace the panhandlers of Portland with these guys- please!!! Being greeted with “Y’all have a blessed holiday” by a man in uniform surrounded by a pile of toys he has collected for charity may or may not cause palpitations (for ladies anyways).
2. The Salvation Army bell ringers pulled double duty- not only ringing bells and collecting money, but opening doors and helping people to their cars. I’ve never seen that before.
3. A man walked down the main strip near the mall carrying a large wooden cross with the words “Remember- Jesus LOVES You” carved in it. Everyone from truckers to Porsches honked and waved.
I haven’t been up in downtown Hillsdale in a while (I have an Aunt that lives there). Good places and people still? Or did they get weird on us?
I don’t know if they still do it but they used to run late model and modified division cars at Butler Motor Speedway down that way.
I haven’t been down that way for years but its a small enough town that I’m guessing its still pretty quiet.
I'll bet most of them are from Columbia, Harvard, Berkeley, Madison, University of Chicago and other hotbeds of economic and ideological brainwashing.
I would also bet that zero percent of them are from Hillsdale College.

What an awesome blessing to have him be able to attend there and a great early Christmas gift.
Congratulations!
Congrats! Both of my daughters went there and they turned out great. First one even married another Hillsdale student. Nothing like pulling into town for the first time and see a gas station named “Glory to God” !
Congratulations and good studies to your son. I’m a small donor to the school. I am delighted that such donations help produce those scholarships.
:)Thanks Damifino, nice to hear good news (((((Hugs)))))
Dr. Arnn and Hillsdale College are doing a great job in making certain that those who wish to learn about the ideas of liberty incorporated into our Constitution's structuring of government may do so.
There, one also can learn about what Hillsdale calls, "The Progressive Rejection of the Founding and the Rise of Bureaucratic Despotism," through the Constitution 201 course.
Check it out and share with others.
My daughter took their Constitution 101 class as part of her senior homeschool year, and said if it wasn't so far away, she wanted to go to Hillsdale. I still wish she would go, but will probably end up at one of the Christian universities, and that's OK, too.
Hillsdale graduates are too smart to get involved with that bunch.
What happy news! Congratulations!
Unfortunately for you, your son is going to be rushed by Hillsdale's Delta Tau Chi chapter...
;)
Congratulations!!! You have a right to be proud.
