Can President Barack Obama heal his second term from the self-inflicted wounds of Obamacare? How?
The usual inside-the-Beltway doctors are offering the usual inside-the-Beltway prescriptions: Amputate! (He should fire someone.) Transfusion! (Bring new blood into his insular circle, ideally someone who can say no to him and have it count.)
Inside the White House, one remedy dominates the discussion. As Obama himself said Nov. 14: Things may turn around if we can just get the darn website working and smooth this thing out. Aides say that growing numbers of Americans signing up for health insurance will defend those benefits making it harder for Republicans to rally wavering Democrats behind crippling the Affordable Care Act.
Dig a little more, and administration officials confess to hoping that a steadily improving economy could be a political cure-all. The No. 1 priority has and will be economic progress, White House press secretary Jay Carney said Nov. 4....

What, you didn’t keep your promise? And you are talking to yourself?
Anyhow, let the Democrats choose the speed of their passage through a well earned hell on earth. This has become a non plus ultra. And it’s God’s grand lesson in teaching a people to appreciate how wrong lies are and how right the Truth is.
“A form of religion [godliness], but denying its power.”
No, nothing can. 0bamaCare has been set in motion and nothing can stop its inevitable implosion.

As part of pro-Obamacare meme-building, media’s trumpeting the 22% gain in the DJ 30 for 2013, without any of the leftist redistributionist naysayers (like Obama, for instance) claiming that this is just another case of the Haves enriching themselves at the expense of the Have Nots.
Thanks 2ndDivisionVet.
What has also worked is single-office health maintenance plans. Anything that can be treated in the office is treated, for a flat monthly fee. No more insurance bookkeeping, just a list of the patients and the minimal billing overhead for the subscription.
I don’t think young people will ever sign up unless they are already in the system.
Well, there's a little problem with that. A couple of them, actually.
The first is that the website's functional problems (to "customers") are merely a surface scratch. The fatal wound(s) are the security vulnerabilities. The problems were built in right from the start, and now there are half a BILLION lines of code written (with even more yet to come just to complete the site.) This cannot be fixed easily, and these people are presently too trapped in what they've created, or are too ignorant, or too arrogant, or more likely all the above, to understand how bad it is. Any person or business entity with an account on healthcare.gov should assume any "data" they gave to healthcare.gov is in the hands of hackers. I'd give you 50/50 odds the Iranians have it, and I'm sure simple theft is the least of their intentions.
Worse, these fools apparently don't understand that the more people who sign up, the greater the security disaster. (Most of) the "pigs" who would squeal at the loss of their health care are going to be even more upset when they find out what identity thieves will do to them.
SORRY commies but reid just killed dim rule for decades.
That would be a good idea. After the fiasco that has been the Obamacare roll-out, Roberts should not feel obligated to give the Obamanation another get-out-of-jail-free card.
You seem to have been asleep last year when that traitor Roberts said it was okay because it had been done as a tax. Also laws have to be challenged and make their way to the supreme court before a ruling is given. Congress doesn’t say: “you can’t practise X religion” and then some guy on the supreme court says “that’s unconstitutional.” It has to go through a process.
or...
being mindful of the unemployment census fraud, can the government create a picture of wealth and prosperity and successfully sell it.
Repeat after me: “It’s not the website. Never mind about the website. I don’t CARE about the website”.
I am well aware of Robert's decision that the forcible fees were a tax that allowed Obamacare. I am also aware that a case has to be brought before the court before a decision can be rendered. I just skipped that part, thinking readers would assume that had taken place.
“Aides say that growing numbers of Americans signing up for health insurance will defend those benefits”
The gimmedat oinkers have lost all credibility, as have their defenders in the Goebbel’s press.
it will not be working by the end of 2014.
This may be the price of purging the willful ignorance of God’s blessings from the land. Remember, the Democrats have been at this game of “degrade humanity” since before the Civil War, and the “conservative” pushback has often been lukewarm. The Democrats have been worse, but the other guys have not always been eager with the salt and light either.
Once (if) God gets it through this country’s thick head that yes, He is intent on blessing it if it will receive His love and quit standing on its own pride... then you will see blessing like you would not believe. It will have been worth the agony of Obamacare.
