They’re just like big lovable dogs. I’m sure I’d be happy to let the grandkids go out and play amongst them. NOT! Uninteded consequences? Maybe not. When vast areas are declared “human-free zones”, “wildlife corridors”, “earth islands” and “bio-sphere habitats”, things will be just fine cause the wolves will already be firmly in place.

” - - - filmmaker David Spady - - - “

Uh, Davie-boy, when was the last time that a non-rabid wolf attacked a human, or even a “film-maker” in the lower 48?

Chances are, it would also be the first - - - .

Every one of the 100-plus enviro-nazis were staunchly opposed to removing the federal protections and more than a few wound up in tears.

Kinda pulls at the old heart strings, doesn't it? /sarc

““You guys, you, we entrusted you to take care of our beloved wildlife, lands and waters, to take care of this land, and you need to be the watchdog so the states don’t open it up to an open slaughter for these wolves,” said Betty Neuenschwander.”

Waaa Waaa, idiots. Whack them all and make a hat out of them!

Many residents and many hunters in Catron County, NM have made many wolves disappear.

So many that in fact every wolf now has 3 government employees (armed) tracking its movements and the movements of its only effective predator (humans).

Our forebears eradicated wolves for a reason.

The reason is that any interaction between a wolf and an unarmed human or that human's livestock is a meal for a wolf.

Wouldn’t it be simpler than scratching and biting to have a season on predator and prey alike?-and yes, I am a hunter-one who knows the natural world must have a balance so we can all have enough healthy game for food-that is what hunting is for.

That is why there are extra deer tags on your license when the year has been dry and the deer are in poor condition-more need to be harvested to maintain a healthy population, rather than just a big one, because there are not enough natural predators to take out the unhealthy deer.

Anyone who wants the only wildlife around them to be cute little deer and birdies needs to stay in the city-that is unnatural...

I wouldn’t let my kid wait at a deserted bus stop, and that is because of human predators, not animal ones...

I grew up reading hundreds of books but the only one that really stuck was Call of the Wild by Jack London. Each summer In recent years I have spent time on the Yukon River which is where Jack London’s fictional book was focused. So, basically, the sound of the wolves is truly, for me and many others, “a call of the wild” and therefore beautiful way out in the woods.

That said, the idea of wolves in populated areas is preposterous both for the wolf and man.

My fix is a .338 Lapua Mag with 250 gr. bullet good all the way out to 1500 meters. No one close to the wolf even hears the report let alone know were it came from. No there will be no fur for a hat.-+

Given anti-government attitudes in Catron County, I’m surprised that SSS hasn’t come into play.

Wolves perform a function in the ecosystem. They control the population of other pests such as rabbits, and other predators such as coyotes.

The solution is to arm children in rural areas.
