I received this via e-mail "From March 21st 2010 to October 1 2013 is 3 years, 6 months, 10 days.
From December 7, 1941 to May 8, 1945 is 3 years, 5 months, 1 day.
What this means is that in the time we were attacked at Pearl Harbor to the day Germany surrendered is not enough time for this federal government to build a working webpage.
Mobilization of millions, building tens of thousands of tanks, planes, jeeps, subs, cruisers, destroyers, torpedoes, millions upon millions of guns, bombs, ammo, etc. Turning the tide in North Africa, Invading Italy, D-Day, Battle of the Bulge, Race to Berlin - all while we were also fighting the Japanese in the Pacific!!
And current administration cant build a webpage."
LOL, Oh stop the piling on :)
Just shows what a formal declaration of war can do to unite the nation.
And it probably cost leas...................
Not to nitpick but that was just the european theater. Took til mi-august 1945 to finally get the japanese to realize their country would be glass if they didn’t surrender.
The point is still clear, and I have no doubt it won’t be working whenever that is roughly 1 1/2 more months (we’ve already had about six-7 weeks of it failing) so I totally believe the statement will still be able to be made, and made accurately.
Also built the Empire State building in eighteen months.
I got it today too and forwarded it to everyone on my mailing list.
Obama isn’t in it to win it.
It is not a fair comparison because WW2 cost 297 billion dollars, and the Obamacare website only cost 4.4 billion dollars. You cannot reasonably expect them to have a fully functional website with that kind of chump change can you?
That includes inventing, testing, and deploying the atom bomb.
If we had an Obama in the White House back then, we’d all be speaking German.
Maybe the Manhattan Project was completed sooner?
Could it be that WWII was won because we had COMPETENT PEOPLE????????????????????????????????
WWII didn’t cost much more, either.
yoe posted this gem:
“FBI Warning;
After a recent wave of identify thefts, the FBI estimates there are over 500 fake Obamacare websites set up for the sole purpose of stealing your personal information.
So protect yourself and remember: the real one is the one that doesn’t work.”
And the fake sites were probably set up in a few days for under $1000 each.
And in the tech world, eBay was founded in Sept 1995, and by Jan. 1997 held 2,000,000 monthly auctions!
