The Obamacare time bomb
WaPo ^ | 11/18/2013 | Marc A. Thiessen

There is an Obamacare time bomb set to go off just before the 2014 midterm elections — and President Obama’s purported “fix” for the millions of Americans losing their health insurance doesn’t defuse it. If anything, it could make the blast worse.

In truth, Democrats are damned if Obama’s fix works and damned if it doesn’t.

For three years, at Obama’s direction, insurers and state regulators have been planning to cancel millions of individual market plans and move those people into the Obamacare exchanges at the end of this year. That process cannot be easily reversed six weeks before the transfer was to take place. Insurers did not negotiate prices with doctors and hospitals, or put plans through the state regulatory process. There is no magic wand the president can wave to suddenly reinstate canceled plans.

If Obama’s fix fails, a humanitarian disaster will ensue. Come Jan. 1, millions of Americans could find themselves without the health coverage Obama promised they could keep. Suddenly, the horror stories we are hearing today of people getting cancellation letters will be replaced by horror stories of cancer patients having their treatment disrupted and sick children being cut off from their doctors and hospitals. The outrage Americans are expressing today will pale by comparison to the outrage that will ensue when people who had insurance before Obamacare can’t get medical care they are accustomed to because they lost their plans.

For some strange reason, tar and feathers keep coming to mind.

And they will try their damnedest to blame the Republicans for it..............

And the sheeple in this idiocracy will believe it’s Bush’s or the Republicans’ fault.

While I do feel terrible for those who lost their insurance because of odumbocare, I do NOT FEEL SORRY for those of them who voted “democrat” to keep the POS ba$tard in the Whitehouse.

Don’t like your president you can keep him, PERIOD!

Obamacare: why there's no right way to do the wrong thing.

Obama needs to go back to organizing Chicago unions.

Why the time bomb:

1) Insurance rates always go up, Obama will get credit/blame for that fact.
2) Healthy young people forced to buy health insurance that they otherwise would not will not be a positive feeling for them - they will blame Democrats because not one Republican supported this.
3) People forced to buy Obamacare insurance products and then having a problem with care will blame demorats.

Well, the Dems bought a whopper of a lie all right. That they could shoehorn any popularly acceptable semblance of America’s wonderful health care system into their little control scheme. Well not even those thousands of pages and bevies of bureaucrats can.

Oh, how much in dutch the Democrats will be and there is NO escaping.

I feel for the people who actually get dumped out of things like ongoing cancer care, but on the other hand the agony seems well worth the way it will bust the bubble of the Dems. In this case, evil (PPACA) is proving eminently unable to contain goodness (the American health care system).

The RNC needs to be prepared to echo and amplify the horror.

Obama: “I misspoke. You can keep your plan for an additional one year and three months.”

Maybe Obamacare’s “better off not having the surgery, but taking the pain pill.”

I thought about this this morning WRT the coming economic crash.
I know for certain they’ll blame conservatives/republicans for it when it happens. Even the sheeperals will.

Probably some “reasoning” like “you didn’t want the economy to work” or something.

Hence the shocking admission by Lanny Davis on Friday's Michael Medved Show that these events are causing him to rethink his long-held position as to whether it is at all possible for the government to run health care.

Obamacare isn’t going to do anything it was promised to do, and a whole lot of things people don’t want it to do. Democrats would do well to keep their Fascism to baby steps, as opposed to launching catastrophic legislation that changes the entire nature of American liberty. The ninnies should have listened to Cruz, or the millions of conservatives who have been telling the truth about Obamacare from the very beginning. We had their best interest in mind.

I wish it were just a bunch of liberals who couldn’t get health insurance coverage next time they got a bad case of genital warts or some other STD.

Unfortunately, I’m sure we all know someone who was very much against Obamacare who’ll might be cut off from their insurance while they are in the middle of fighting cancer.

This really is a horrible thing on our country.
