WASHINGTON: US President Obama on Thursday nominated Indian-American physician Vivek Murthy, who is only 36, to be surgeon general of the United States. The position, if confirmed by the Senate as required, will make Murthy the leading spokesperson on matters of public health in the US and the operational head of the 6500-strong US Public Health Service Commissioned Corps, one of the seven uniformed services of the United States that includes army, navy, air force and marines.

Just another foreigner doing jobs Americans aren’t welcome to so.
Hopefully an IT expert. I guess Dr. Ben Carson was underqualified.
I found an old article by Michelle Maulkin about ‘Doctors for America’.
“Spin Doctors for America”

DFA senior adviser Jacob Hacker is an Obamacare architect who laughed at criticism of the plan being a Trojan Horse for single payer coverage. Its not a Trojan Horse, right he retorted at a far Left Tides Foundation conference on health care. Its just right there! Im telling you. Were going to get there.
All the other Doctors in town are Indian. Why the eff not?
If this guy is the best qualified Dr for the job, that’s cool. But somehow, I doubt it.
Great, now we’re out sourcing the surgeon general’s job too.
So, 4 years of college (18-21), 4 years of medical school (22-26), 3 years of residency (27-29). So unless this is Doogie Howser, he's only been a real doctor for about six years. But since he's from a "Doctors for America", he's there to perform an action similar to the NKVD in the Soviet military - to shoot the deserters and maintain revolutionary fervor rather than perform actual medicine.
I live in an unincorporated area abutting a city called "New Port Richey".
I call it New Delhi Richey.

I suppose he has the right ideology then. That’s the primary qualification needed for a job in this administration.
Obama appointments: where being a white native American male is a huge disadvantage. But, it’s important that we have ENDA for the private sector! Because that’s “who we are as Americans.” /S
That just about sums it up.
?
An actual “Medicine man”? oh.... you meant the convenient store “Indian”, not the cigar store “Indian”. Sorry.
Funny, but you know what I mean: “native American”, not “Native American”! As in natural born, not pre-Columbus, LOL.
Once again, cake-boy O'Bunghole, the "Choomer"-in-chief, proves the experts wrong by saying dumb things despite having the mental and intellectual faculties of an eggplant.
Maybe it's true that vegetables can't talk, but O'Bungsuck comes in a close second. Whereupon arises the question, is he actually forming cogent sentences using only his tragically limited capacity, or is he just mimicking sounds he has heard, like an African Brown Parrot?
Suffice to say, the jury is still out on this one point, and hasn't yet been convened for the bulk of Barry O's more serious criminal offenses. All things worth having take time.
Patience. The threads in the clothes our emperor never had to begin with have begun to unravel, and soon it will all come flailing down around that appalling jug-eared tuber.

I guess I don’t see how an American citizen with family who came over from India is any less of a “native American” than an American citizen with family who came over from Poland or France or Ireland. I have a problem with this guy’s politics, not his skin tone. Would you be that much happier had Obama appointed a far-lefty German-American Surgeon General?
"Will this kill paleface?"
Bad idea.

My issue is that Obama’s appointments almost always have some liberally valuable distinction. There’s a far higher probability of an appointment of his being Muslim, gay, female, non-white, a major party bundler or activist, or whatever than there would be in the population at large. Its as if he’s selecting for people who have a grudge against historic America. Like him, they either aren’t from around here, or don’t root for the home team.
I don’t have an issue with any particular person being appointed who has any of these characteristics as long as their competent, but when competence takes an obvious back seat, I get sarcastic.
By the way, I like your screen name.
Another muslim???
No one could be as bad as Jocelyn Elders, I suppose.
