My issue is that Obama’s appointments almost always have some liberally valuable distinction. There’s a far higher probability of an appointment of his being Muslim, gay, female, non-white, a major party bundler or activist, or whatever than there would be in the population at large. Its as if he’s selecting for people who have a grudge against historic America. Like him, they either aren’t from around here, or don’t root for the home team.

I don’t have an issue with any particular person being appointed who has any of these characteristics as long as their competent, but when competence takes an obvious back seat, I get sarcastic.

By the way, I like your screen name.

I don’t find it weird at all. The majority of white males have voted for Republican candidates for quite a while. Obama’s base, like the Dem Party, is women, minorities and gays. So of course he’s going to appoint people from his supporters. This appointee has educational credentials. He’s also a flaming liberal, which I suspect is the mix Obama was looking for.

Females aren’t from the “home team” and are overrepresented in Obama appointments?
