WASHINGTON: US President Obama on Thursday nominated Indian-American physician Vivek Murthy, who is only 36, to be surgeon general of the United States. The position, if confirmed by the Senate as required, will make Murthy the leading spokesperson on matters of public health in the US and the operational head of the 6500-strong US Public Health Service Commissioned Corps, one of the seven uniformed services of the United States that includes army, navy, air force and marines.

I don’t find it weird at all. The majority of white males have voted for Republican candidates for quite a while. Obama’s base, like the Dem Party, is women, minorities and gays. So of course he’s going to appoint people from his supporters. This appointee has educational credentials. He’s also a flaming liberal, which I suspect is the mix Obama was looking for.
36 years old seems a bit young to be in that kind of position. I would have thought that at least 20 years experience as a consultant should be a minimum requirement for this post.

As usual with these animals, the “split” that was supposed to be done into Pakistan (muslim) and India (Hindu) was in reality Pakistan (muslim) and India (hindu + muslim 5th column). Broadly, that is how muslims always function if they’re not dead.
India is about 75% Hindu, 20% Muslim, 5% Miscellaneous Other.
One key difference is that when the Muslims pull something over there the Hindus shove it right back at them. Mob rioting with the burning of Muslim homes to retaliate for Islamist outrage is not uncommon.
Hence Muslims in India tend to remain a bit more calm than most.
First off, a hyphenated American is only half an American regardless of where he he/ she comes from. Secondly, it’s evident that Obama is interested in removing non-hyphenated American white males from power wherever possible and his political appointments always seem to reflect that. It’s starting to feel like South Africa in fact. So let’s just call a spade a spade here, their stripping power away from white men in order to fundamentally transform America. This is a significant event and something worth being aware of. Am I racist for pointing it out? No. Are they racist for adopting such a policy? Absolutely.
Yes, and that is up from supposedly zero since the split.
The muslims never give up. They keep murdering as long as any of them are alive, even if it’s slow going.
Obama had zero years of experience for his post so I guess it is the new normal.

My late father had a very fine doctor who was from Pakistan, who unfortunately died before my father (so he had to find another doctor). I don't know if the man was still a Muslim but he was everything one could ask for in a doctor.
I hear ya. I have a Paki-Muslim doctor who has saved my life. I adore him along with every single one of his patients. Odd how things work, eh?
Indeed. There a very many fine people who are both Arabs and mulims, but today they’re living dangerously. According to Quilliam, before the report was squelched, more than 60% of so.called moderate muslims are largely in tune with Muslim Brotherhood/Al Quaida. For normal people, that spells “shut up or die”.
Arab and Pak medics used to be something of a gold standard. Some of them still are.
