Rep. Pete Olson (R-TX) has introduced an Articles of Impeachment resolution against Attorney General Eric Holder for his role in Operation Fast and Furious and other scandals of President Barack Obama’s administration.
Seven congressman have signed onto the resolution thus far in addition to Olson. They are Reps. Larry Bucshon (R-IN), Blake Farenthold (R-TX), Phil Roe (R-TN), Lynn Westmoreland (R-GA), Roger Williams (R-TX), Ted Yoho (R-FL), and Randy Weber (R-TX).
The Articles of Impeachment has four different sections. The first calls for Holder’s official removal because of his failure to comply with congressional subpoenas relating to Operation Fast and Furious. Holder has been voted on a bipartisan basis into both criminal and civil contempt of Congress for his failure to comply with the Fast and Furious subpoenas from House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Chairman Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA).
The second section of the Articles of Impeachment deals with Holder’s refusal to enforce the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), the Controlled Substances Act, and the Anti-Drug Abuse Act of 1986. The third section calls for Holder’s impeachment on the grounds that he has refused to prosecute any IRS officials involved in the “scandal of unauthorized disclosure of tax records belonging to political donors.”(continued)

I’d like it brought up that he refused to prosecute any civil rights cases where the victim was white.
I've bad-mouthed Pete in the past as a good conservative but one with no passion or fight, always seemed to avoid the spotlight or controversy.
Well, I can't be prouder of my US Rep today. ...I take it all back!

IMO Holder does need to be sent to prison - but this is a long stretch. But there are many other issues I wish Olson would attack first which might have a quicker return on his investment - like heading up a group to elect Gohmert as Speaker, getting rid of Obamacare or at least getting rid of the subsidies for Congressmen and forcing them into the exchange, stopping the funding for EPA, Energy, Homeland Security and Education, stopping all the funding for any discretionary spending, shutting down the border and stopping government benefits for illegals in his own home state - to name just a few. Of course he won’t touch the illegal issue because it involves his big business contributors.
Pete likes to do things he thinks are dramatic and will get his name in the headlines, regardless of whether they have any real chance of success or not, rather than doing the things they can accomplish without having to go through the Senate.
Would be nice to see him openly support efforts being made by Cruz if he wants to do something easy that would be meaningful.
Interesting that he has chosen to join with Randy Weber who, unlike Pete, has some real grassroots and TEA Party support. Know Randy personally and he is Conservative to the core.

I don’t expect anything to come of this, unless new charges are proven, but I’m glad they did it. Holder is the very definition of a hack crony.
Dishonesty from MOFO politics in suggesting those pictures were taken AFTER he was elected.

The House clerk is now taking it to the appropriate committees, namely the House Judicial committee (full)...For review and debate...
I would say that it might be a good idea to exert pressure on your congress critter to get onboard now, rather that later...
I just got this info about 30 minutes ago from Olsen’s office...
A few more Reps have dog piled on this as of yesterday...Namely Stockman from Texas-36 IIRC...So no need to bug him other than to thank him for piling on...

No major news agency has picked this up yet...they are too busy flogging a dead horse called ObamaCare...
No, they couldn’t have. They had to wait for Obama to fall off his pedistal in the eyes of the public, or it would’ve just turned into a popularity contest that the Repubs would lose. Now the blood’s in the water.
