Full Title: Policy keeping girls off boys' wrestling team prevents 'undesired contact of sensual body parts,' says Line Mountain High School
WILLIAMSPORT The prospect of co-ed wrestling presents dilemmas, such as how an adult male coach demonstrates techniques on a middle school-aged female, the Line Mountain School District claims.
That is one of the arguments the Northumberland County school district makes in urging U.S. Middle District Judge Matthew W. Brann not to make permanent the order he issued Oct. 31 that allowed a seventh-grade girl identified only as A.B. to sign up for the middle school wrestling team.
The district has a policy that prohibits boy and girls from being on the same team in a contact sport.
Due to the continual close contact involved in wrestling, the sport warrants a separation between male and females, especially when the individuals reach the age of puberty, the district states in a brief filed with the court.

Of course - every game the guy across the line tried to “bully” me, that was his job.
I don’t understand where such a question comes from.
Oh.
No, we were actually a team. None of that stuff went on in our locker room. We were all friends - and our coaches would NEVER have tolerated such behavior.
Incognito has obvious ‘roid-rage issues, and he is a proven bad actor. I don’t know anything about the other guy - but he probably was a bit too passive for his own good. Passivity invites and fuels the insane aggression of guys like Incognito.
My guess - Incognito will never work in the NFL again, the other guy (can’t remember his name) will probably never have to work again, since he’ll get most of Incognito’s money, large chunks from other players that participated and a really big chunk from the team when the dust has settled.
None of whom make the grade when the testosterone has settled and the boys become men. Any women college champs? Nope. Any females finished the Marine officer combat course? Nope. Any women MMA fighters transitioned to the men’s division? Nope.
I can go on. Heck, I think i will. Any women broken into men’s league soccer? Nope. NFL? Nope. ASP Men’s Championships? Nope. Pro baseball? Nope. Pro basketball? Nope. Broken any men’s track records? Nope.
Dang, typing fingers getting tired........
I was never any of those either. It was fun while it lasted though.
I was never any either. However, I did wrestle, play soccer and surf competitively. Did so into my 30’s surfing and soccer. Coached soccer, Coed. Have not any problem with females playing/competing against males, to a point. Just calling the other poster out on his intentional obfuscation of the fact that males are stronger, faster, and have more endurance ON AVERAGE after puberty. It is our genetic curse/blessing.
Geez man. Get over it already.
OK, men and teen boys are stronger than girls on average.
You say you are all for girls wrestling but then keep up a silly diatribe about places where men are stronger. No one here has argued that girls are stronger. You just keep up with the strawman.
Apparently we agree that it is OK that girls wrestle in youth and grade school. Others here mentioned a girl that got a full ride college scholarship to U of M in wrestling. It happens.
Based on the few girls that do wrestle, that is a victory.
Bottom line for me is that girls in wrestling is a good thing for the sport. And most of the arguments against girls in wrestling that have been listed on this post are from people that have never been involved in the sport or don’t understand the sport.
OK, pound for pound, girls are often weaker, but in wrestling, strength isn’t the only factor leading to success. Wrestling skills and thinking under stress have just as much to do with the win.
So, no matter what you are saying, girls can succeed in the sport and should be allowed to compete.
I suppose we can agree there.
You are bizarre. Have fun in there. It does not appear as much fun from out here.
In my world, people try to make sense when they write or talk and they attempt to make a point with facts or perspective.
I get really annoyed when I converse with people that can’t put together a cogent thought or try to make points by repeating the same unfocused thought over and over or attempt shabby sarcasm. I think that annoyance is what you are seeing here.
I really am trying to figure out your point. I consider myself intelligent, and rather successful, though quick to debate when its better to just shrug and walk away. But I was in National Forensics League (look it up) and can’t resist a debate.
I still don’t understand what the hell you were trying to say.
Maybe you can take a writing course or join Toastmasters or something so you can learn to put your thoughts together better.
I pulled my son out of wrestling when they started this crap. There are two types of girls who go for these sports: those who are decidedly not feminine, and those whose parents wanted a boy, but were too selfish to continue having children.
There are no good reasons why girls and boys should be allowed to play contact sports together and many reasons they shouldn’t. It’s just another battle in the war against boys. Guess we know whose side you are on.
Take your Taliban and shove it up your tolerance. Sorry, but your slip is showing...
You don’t know crap.
That was enlightening. You want to spew your rants comparing conventional Judeo-Christian ethics to a murderous regime and now you want to play the victim.
I may not know crap, as I prefer to stay out of the gutter, but I do know this is a conservative forum, and obviously you don’t care for conservative views. Why don’t you head over to DU. They prefer gender bending over there.
If you want to make your son into a puss, that is your business.
I prefer my son to learn not to back down from anyone, male or female. How’s that for keeping a boy a boy.
So you don’t want girls wrestling.
There is some other jackwad that doesn’t want girls to play on the peewee football team.
And there’s the dad that goes ballistic because they let girls on the hockey team.
And then another moron doesn’t want girls to do Tae Kwan Do because it is contact too.
And then some butthead decides he doesn’t want girls to swim on the swim team at the same time as their boy because the girls wear skimpy suits.
Where does it end? You obviously know better than me. I just think it ends with the Taliban.
You really don’t know crap. Look me up. I was one of the first people on FreeRepublic. You don’t know who the hell I am. Tea Party? Yea, been there long before you’ve ever even heard of it.
Conservativism isn’t all about turning the clock back to the 1950’s. It is about freedom, free markets, individual liberty, and responsibility.
Maybe our divergent views on girls in wrestling don’t have anything to do with left and right.
Toastmasters? Really? So, you posit that I should strive to emulate your communication style? Would the following quotes from you in the last few days be a good start for me to start learning from? Is this the epitome of cultured discourse that I should aspire to? Please guide me in my quest to sound more arrogant with every missive! I hope, nay pray, to one day be as literate and haughtily dismissive as you, the Great and Masterful One! I will cherish these quotes as my daily guidance on this journey!
“You dont know crap”
“Some people get their panties all in a wad over the stupidest things.”
“Takes one to know one you Alinskyite faggot.”
“Go to DU. Then got to Hell. You weak minded piece of garbage.”
“Kiss it loser.”
You knew exactly what I was saying with every post.
Your posts read like a chimp working up to War and Peace.
;-)
Schools and communities are reaping the rewards of their liberal voting patterns.
Back to the Toastmaster compliments, I see. You really are special.
Oh, and have a nice day.
throw'n down w/ the debate team and toastmasters......zing!
