David Eckert, a resident of Deming, NM, was pulled over by police officers after failing to come to a complete stop at a stop sign. For whatever reason, the officers decided Eckert was hiding something, or perhaps they were unsatisfied that a routine stop hadn't blown up into something bigger. ...
1. Eckert's abdominal area was x-rayed; no narcotics were found.
2. Doctors then performed an exam of Eckert's anus with their fingers; no narcotics were found.
3. Doctors performed a second exam of Eckert's anus with their fingers; no narcotics were found.
4. Doctors penetrated Eckert's anus to insert an enema. Eckert was forced to defecate in front of doctors and police officers. Eckert watched as doctors searched his stool. No narcotics were found.
5. Doctors penetrated Eckert's anus to insert an enema a second time. Eckert was forced to defecate in front of doctors and police officers. Eckert watched as doctors searched his stool. No narcotics were found.
6. Doctors penetrated Eckert's anus to insert an enema a third time. Eckert was forced to defecate in front of doctors and police officers. Eckert watched as doctors searched his stool. No narcotics were found.
7. Doctors then x-rayed Eckert again; no narcotics were found.
8. Doctors prepared Eckert for surgery, sedated him, and then performed a colonoscopy where a scope with a camera was inserted into Eckert's anus, rectum, colon, and large intestines. No narcotics were found.
At no time did Eckert give his consent to these searches. The police did obtain a warrant to rectally search Eckert but that warrant itself was problematic.

Ain’t statism grand...
If they examined Obama that way, they’d find Larry Sinclair.
And Chris Matthews, lost wearing a mining helmet.
How are you any different from the criminal element? I do care. I care that the criminal element be removed from society. ALL people involved in criminal activity. Repeat offenders are a bane of society.
You really are a piece of work. I could and have written essays about the perils of the Law and Order Conservative. But I know you would only respond with snarky, arrogant, and dismissive post that don’t address the issue.
So I won’t bother with you.
Your interminable search for guarantees of safety will end up with you hung on Hamons Gallows with the cry of “mercy for me but justice for you!”
I have mine in .45 ACP.
Oh, really?
Please, please everyone relax. All po-leece mans went home safe and no dogs were shot. What more can we ask for.....
“Just doin’ my job, man.”
Me Too.
I like the 2nd Amendment as much as I like the 4th Amendment.
Because we are American. We have unique liberties and rights particularly the ones about innocent until proven guilty, and the right to be secure against unreasonable searches. Every time we are accused of a crime.
We must hold public officials and those we pay to protect us to the highest standard. We cannot fail to protect the rights of Americans in every encounter with those who “enforce” our laws. Period.
A bigger problem in this country is that we have criminalized nearly everything we do but not with the intent to stop the offending behavior, but to generate revenue. Our drug laws, punishment, and treatment have no intention of really stopping drug use but rather a way to bring in more revenue, secure people jobs. If we really wanted to stop things we would (e.g. Thailand, Singapore).
An even bigger problem is our destruction of the American family and continued support of the democrat indoctrination centers, oh, sorry, public schools.
The 2nd Amendment is the most important.
Then why do so many here convict the cops on the word of a perp, his lawyer or the media?
At least his doctor has something more tangible to look for.
I didn’t convict the police on the word this man or his lawyer. I read the original investigative reporter who states he has read the medical records and warrant (the medical records were provided to him). He put together the timeline and all of the exams.
The warrant was to be executed by said time in said county, both violated.
The exams performed were invasive, unnecessary when other less invasive modalities were available, and dangerous. All to find a pack of drugs? How was anything beyond the initial x-ray reasonable?
Read this again; Then why do so many here convict the cops on the word of a perp, his lawyer or the media?
So, if the local brownshirts show up at your door with no warrant, and an accusation that you committed a gun crime that you know you didn’t commit, you’re comfortable with them barging into your home to search for that firearm they think you used in the alleged crime. They find the firearm, lets say for the sake of discussion its a shotgun which of course doesn’t have rifling in the barrel so no ballistics test possible. You’re o.k. with the 4th amendment not being there to keep you from perhaps a long prison sentence on their sayso and no other proof?
IF I had a million dollars I'd be rich. Dealing in hypotheticals is as useless as looking up a dead horses a$$.
it would probably be better to indulge your fascination with the anal tract on dead horses rather than live people.
I am going to believe, in this case, that the investigative reporter has some evidence on which to base his report. Just like I believed Matt Drudge had some evidence many years ago. Just like I believe the investigative reporters researching what happened in Bengazi.
Why do you deny Americans their constitutional rights every time they are accused of a crime if they have ever been accused of a crime in the past?
I had a speeding ticket a few years ago. If I am stopped again for a traffic violation, according to you, I am a repeat offender, and therefore police should do whatever they want to get me off of the streets... hmmm.
You are an expert?
I don't. Where did you get the idea? Did you accuse George Zimmerman based on media reports?
therefore police should do whatever they want to get me off of the streets
Now you're being infantile and ridiculous. Eckert was known to police because of previous encounters and court appearances. (Not all for traffic violations)
