Fox News host Sean Hannity is coming to the rescue of Erling Davis, the Obamacare hotline operator who was fired after she spoke on his show Monday. Hannity is giving her the equivalent of a years salary, $26,000, and vowing to help her find a new job through his listeners.
Davis, who is from Panama City, Florida, went on Hannitys show again yesterday to discuss the details of her termination.
I dont want you to have to pay a price just for taking our call So I want to help you out here, Hannity sais.
The host said his accountant told him he can legally gift Davis a tax-free sum of $13,000 for her and $13,000 for one of her two kids. The total of $26,000 would cover her full-time annual salary.
You were kind, patient, helpful. You answered every question, Hannity told Davis yesterday. Wasnt that what your job was, to answer the questions? The president gave out the number.
Yes, sir. That was, she answered.
Did they ever tell you that you cant answer questions on a radio show? Was that part of your training? he asked her.
No, sir. I never knew about that, she responded.

Good for you Hannity for helping her out.

Sometimes, just being good at conversation and reporting make all the difference. Sean made the most of that phone call. He could have been stopped at any time, in fact, I expected her to ease him off the line, but Sean got her to enjoy the conversation. At the end, he asked her if she had heard of the big talk show hosts on the right. She said no, never heard of Sean, Rush or Glen Beck. I believe her. If she had known who Sean is to us who pay attention, she would’ve slammed that phone down so hard, his coiffured talking head would still be reeling. The O-people look like Shlumps, while Sean end up smelling like a rose.
They cut off part of three fingers?
So, about 4 months worth of Obamacare “coverage”?
How is it that we know Miss Erling Davis instantly, but we never did find out the name of the notorious Obama Phone Lady? Remember her from last year, near the end of the campaign, your garden variety Welfare Queen, croaking in Ebonics “Keep Obama In President!” snapping her chewing gum and everything.
Probably the same reason that Obama’s background is shrouded in mystery, yet we found out immediately that “Joe The Plumber” has some issues with taxes and his contractor’s license.
The same reason that the Clinton White House couldn’t find legal records which had been subpoened, but the Clinton White House immediately released correspondence from Kathleen Willey, in which she indicated how grateful she was to Clinton for his help on some matter.
Thanks. A Dowery to be paid. How ironic.
First thing I thought about: If she was fired by a repubie, Sharpton and Jackson would be there screaming racism.
Hannity is a publicity hound, a whore for the establishment. This was all a publicity stunt, done for his ego.
So negative so early in the morning. Sounds as if you’re going to have a bad day...
Obama is doing a lot of things the past few weeks that alienate his base. Firing this woman with a modest salary while keeping friends in high places who make millions but screw up won't work in Obama's minority neighborhoods.
Typical conservative...thinks charity should begin with giving away HIS OWN money. That’s the difference between us and them.
I would think she might have a termination lawsuit too.
I’m sure that if I knew that lady was going to get fired for talking to Sean he knew it too. He was probably thinking it as he was talking to her live on his show. I’m sure he knew pretty soon after he would need to help her out. He’s actually a pretty decent guy compared to most of these TV personalities.
