Exclusive: Feds confiscate investigative reporter’s confidential files during raid

A veteran Washington D.C. investigative journalist says the Department of Homeland Security confiscated a stack of her confidential files during a raid of her home in August — leading her to fear that a number of her sources inside the federal government have now been exposed.

In an interview with The Daily Caller, journalist Audrey Hudson revealed that the Department of Homeland Security and Maryland State Police were involved in a predawn raid of her Shady Side, Md. home on Aug. 6. Hudson is a former Washington Times reporter and current freelance reporter.

A search warrant obtained by TheDC indicates that the August raid allowed law enforcement to search for firearms inside her home.

What’s sad here is the the gubmint has trampled over so many freedoms and routinely violates the Constitution.

And the lap dogs of the press just happily ignore it. And so now when we have yet another clear cut violation - and it involves the media?

Only some blog - some second or third tier news agency - will cover it. This is de rigueur. The MSM is even too corrupt to sound the alarms.

Very scary. Lawsuit needs to be filed and taken to the Supreme Court. If they rule in favor of Homeland Security, America is lost unless citizens stand up.

.... Since Hudson tends to lean to the right politically, My guess is that the feds are fishing either for some damning info that she may have gathered or perhaps the name or names of some of her confidential sources who may very well be White-House or administration leaks that need to be silenced by the Obama Administration. The weapons search was only used as a legal means to gain entry.
