Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) is planning to release legislation next week that would provide legal status for six years to undocumented immigrants in the United States, he said in an interview Wednesday.
Issa, an influential Republican who leads the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, described the legislation as a come-from-the-shadows effort that would allow the government to do a full accounting of those who are in the U.S. illegally. Immigrants in this new status would be able to travel to their native country while on this temporary visa, he said.

In an article published on April 30, 2006, the Globe wrote that President Bush has quietly claimed the authority to disobey more than 750 laws enacted since he took office. In a clarification issued May 4, 2006, the Globe note that Bush had not really challenged 750 bills (which would have implied 750 signing statements), but has claimed the authority to bypass more than 750 statutes, which were provisions contained in about 125 bills.
My point is that what Obama is doing is unprecedented. It isn't business as usual.
President Bush has quietly claimed the authority to disobey more than 750 laws enacted since he took office, asserting that he has the power to set aside any statute passed by Congress when it conflicts with his interpretation of the Constitution
Among the laws Bush said he can ignore are military rules and regulations, affirmative-action provisions, requirements that Congress be told about immigration services problems, ‘’whistle-blower” protections for nuclear regulatory officials, and safeguards against political interference in federally funded research.
My guess is that Mark Levin hated those laws that Bush said he would ignore, so that made it ‘consititutional’
They are one party as Laz says, and I think I know why.
Noticed a report year or so ago that a ton of money was spent by congress for bottled water. I remember Dr. Strangelove, the movie, the Colonel, Sterling Hayden, says, “It’s in the water”. He, as I remember, is speaking flouride and how it was being used to destroy American men.
I know the movie was satire or a black comedy but what if there is a germ of truth in what the Colonel was saying?
What if we are sending good Conservatives to Washington and the result is they gradually become spineless, stealth left wingers? What if we call it Potomac fever and blame it on man’s weak nature when something else is afoot?
How else are we to explain positions long held in their home districts suddenly becoming empty promises after a couple of years in Sodom on the Potomac?
Ask yourself this one question, if it were possible for the Commies to do such a thing to Conservative Reps and Senators would they suddenly develop a few morals and say no that’s my red line I will not cross it? Reid, Nancy, Schumer, Dianne, Debbie, and Waxman would say “no, the ends do not justify the means?”
I think they would use it and if you hesitated for an instant and said to yourself, what if, then maybe you do too.
Yes I am off my meds and forgot to don the tin foil today but What If?
And let me be clear, any President should be impeached if they refuse to enforce the law as they have sworn under oath that they would. I don't care if it is a Republican or a Democrat. There is no excuse or defense.
Then Mark Levin is wrong.
Obama is giving a WH speech right now about the broken immigration system, yada yada yada. He sounds like he is reading one of Rubio’s old speeches.

Immigration Reform: the next disaster the Obama Admin and Congress (that include Boehner and Mitchell and their cohorts) intend to inflict on the American nation.

FoxNews wasn’t too excitied. They dropped coverage until after a long commercial break.
President Bush tonight gave a hopeful speech on immigration reform. And by that I mean he hopes you believe his speech. Unfortunately for Mr. Bush, and for our nation, the American people no longer trust the leaders of either party to make an earnest effort to enforce the law when it comes to stopping the corruption of illegal immigration.
No calls for impeachment by Mark Levin, who-da-guessed LOL
this is why the GOP CANT impeach Obama for doing what they did under GWB #151
Bush 43 was even worse than Clinton on immigration. And Obama is the worst of any President in our history on the issue.
FoxNews heresy!
Bill Hemmer questions Richard Fowler (radio talkshow host) who is supporting immigration reform. Hemmer queries whether this return to immigration reform is intended to be a distraction from the healthcare.gov fiasco. Both chuckle, as Fowler says it isn’t an intentional distraction.
[FoxNews is so unimpressed with either the House healthcare webside hearing or Obama’s return to immigration reform that they have gone to commercials again.]
Rather convoluted logic. Bush did not unilaterally grant amnesty to over 3 million people.
And I am sure the next POTUS will be even worse.
Obama cant do that. He is just selectively enforcing the immigration law. They can be booted legally any time for any reason as with the ones that dont sign up. Where you get the 3 million figure from?
SCOTUS ruled that POTUS decides how to enforce laws, and Bush and Obama did.
I am sure you mean Hillary.
Term limits would prevent traitorous acts like this. They'd be gone before they forgot who they're suppose to be serving.
