Pelosi Predicts: If Hillary Runs, 'She Will Win' October 21, 2013 - 4:43 PM By Melanie Hunter
(CNSNews.com) – House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), in appearance on ABC’s “This Week with George Stephanopolous” on Sunday, said Hillary Clinton “will win” the presidency if she runs.
“If Hillary Clinton does run, she'll be one of the best prepared people, and she will win, I believe, if she runs. She'll be one of the best prepared people to enter the White House in a long time,” Pelosi said.
“She will -- she would be a great president. I would -- it would be a very thrilling thing for our country. She happens to be a woman, but she's, first and foremost, extremely qualified,” Pelosi added.
Clinton stumped for Terry McAuliffe over the weekend. McAuliffe is the Democratic nominee for Virginia governor.
“There are times when none of us can sit on the sidelines,” Clinton told the crowd according to Politico. “And right now, here in Virginia, is one of those times.”

IIRC, Pelosi was saying the same thing in 2007.
We all know what happened to Hillary on the way to her coronation in 2008.
Very likely, it could happen again, if some young, charismatic steps up to challenge.

Alas, I fear Rep. Pelosi is right on this one. Hillary will position herself as a centrist, much the way Bill Clinton did in 92, and especially 1996.
She’ll be devout to abortion rights and other sacred modern Democratic causes, but she’ll phrase her support for them in a palatable way (remember Bill’s “safe, legal, and rare” line?). She will then proceed to give lip service to tax cuts, entitlement reform, and the like - knowing full well she intends to do none of that. It’s BS, but it is BS that sells well with voters.
About the only potential for a formidable challenge to Hillary in the primary process would be another challenge from the left, in the form of Elizabeth Warren, most likely. The looney left adore than harridan. Andrew Cuomo might also challenge, but I think he’s more likely VP material than outright challenger. Just a gut feeling there, though.
Someone needs to make a remake of that Neil Young song.
