Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush sat down with ABC News Chief White House Correspondent Jonathan Karl on Sunday for a discussion about the Republican tactics which led to the government shutdown. Bush said that he sympathizes with Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) desire to defund the Affordable Care Act, but advised hi m to exercise a “bit of self-restraint” when it comes to tactics.
Bush began by taking aim at Cruz’s tactics. He observed that the GOP actually lost ground with the public over the course of the shutdown and ironically made significantly reforming the ACA that much harder.
“Tactically it was a mistake to focus on something that couldn’t be achieved,” Bush said.

That is the story of the GOP. “We can’t win so let’s not even fight.”
That’s what Dennis Prager has been advocating. He is, in his won words, “ angry” about what Ted Cruz and others have done.
He says there is no glory in fighting if you can’t win. He was asked point blank by a caller if he was more upset with Cruz or McCain and the like.
Prager dodged the question. Extremely disappointing.
Can we not speak the Bush name any more.

Prager needs to get real. The Democrats have been fighting tooth and nail for every millimeter for 50+ years.
ObamaCare alone was a 40 year goal of theirs.
Even when Democrats lose they convince themselves that they will eventually win and are undeterred. They don’t start attacking members of their own party like the idiot RINOs do.
Jebbie is about as nutty as his other family members. Maybe George P. is the smart one of the bunch after all.
