Not only will this cause great expense for all institutions with public eating environments (such as employer and hospital cafeterias, etc. in addition to schools and colleges), it will also opens en entirely new method of getting oneself on the social security disability rolls.

This will be interesting. I think you’ll find someone who is allergic to almost all of the major foods.
Wheat, milk, tree nuts, peas, beans, lentils, chickpeas, peas, corn, rice, chocolate, oatmeal, eggs, dairy, are ones that come to mind quickly.

Cavender’s...anyone who hasent tryed it has missed an opportunity to improve daily life.
Apply Cavenders ...beat steak aggressively both sides...apply honey...beat steak some more.Leave set for several hours if you have time.
Grill 4-500 degrees,4 minutes per. side,should be a lot of flame,and noise.
Brace yourself for compliments.

I have food allergies but I prefer to take care of them myself, thanks. I do have a small bunion, it causes a minor disability (sometimes). Could I get a check for that?

The college could drop its food service all together and work a deal with local restaurants for a voucher card program.

The ADA was one of the worst laws every passed. Left unchecked, it will lead to control of every aspect of your life worse than Obamacare. Boards of faceless bureaucrats issuing reams of regulations will dictate what you wear, what you eat, what vehicle you can drive, the colors you can use, everything. I am serious and I have first hand experience how it’s affecting art and design. Imagine closed captioning onscreen at every movie theater. Not being allowed to use certain colors in your home because it might confuse color blind people. It’s coming.

I don’t seem to be allergic to much of anything. I feel left out. That is a disability. I would like my check please.

I do not like the DOJ’s imperious action, but the essential cause — what we now know to be the relatively high prevalence of celiac disease and other forms of gluten sensitivity — is medically well-established. New FDA regulations and changing commercial practices have recently led to better labeling and more gluten free selections on grocery store shelves and in restaurants. The cost of compliance for the college is likely to be minimal and is in keeping with general practices elsewhere.

My company cafeteria makes no effort to have gluten or dairy free choices. I'm on my own to figure that out. Packaged soft drinks are safe. Bananas are OK. Occasionally some rice. Most of the rest of the offerings are contaminated with wheat or milk. I bring my own lunch most of the time. Chili's has a great Caribbean salad with grilled chicken. Remove the chopped red bell pepper bits and it is a great gluten free salad. They get my business most evenings. I had to give up on the grilled chicken Mexican caesar salad at El Torito's. My lungs are gurgling before I can finish the salad. Too bad. It is very tasty.
I don't force my problems on my food suppliers. The suppliers that provide what I like without making me sick get repeat business. The others lose out.
