Governor Rick Perry was once alleged to have stated that Texas could secede in the future. But he now states he opposes succession:

If the different states were to become different nations, the federal government would cease to exist. That means that the federal debt would be reduced to Zero. But the price that Americans would pay, would be the loss of super power status. Would Americans be better off or worse off, if the states were to become different countries?
it doesn’t matter what you say , democrat
we will do what we want and that is secede. we have the right to freedom and independence . the constitution doesn’t deny us that right either.
you can be a toyko rose all you want . just go worship your government and your Obama
So you want what you want. Sounds like the EBT crowd to me.
in short
why do you trust government so much, democrat? you haven’t answered that.
and give me liberty or give me death
“How about we try to educate people to our cause?”
There is no better education than reality, and reality is when they get to live in their own ideological cesspool. THAT is the moment of educational opportunity.
I want freedom and to be left alone by the government. and for the gov to leave businesses and capitalism alone. is that ok with you?
Legal secession....
Why the hell are we supposed to play by the rules when the evil opponents do not! Insanity! You will NEVER win that way. NEVER!!
DOWH!!!
Well, Essex, Bergen, Passaic, Union, Middlesex, Camden, Hudson and Mercer Counties - Counties with large urban populations. NJ has 21 Counties. But the liberals from the New York Metro Area and Philly area are constantly emigrating out to the suburbs and rural areas and changing them. The distance from New York to the opposite side of the state is about 50 miles or so. Probably the same for Philly.
Native New Jerseyians who are not libs - people like me - are getting squeezed out.
You sound more like “Give me anarchy or give me death!” If you pursue splitting up the country like the last time it was tried I think we all know which way it’ll turn out.
Donmeaker is right - you would be better off trying to win elections than stir insurrection.
Excellent point. I just don’t see nukes being part of the equation and I am very familiar with nuclear warfare.
“Native New Jerseyians who are not libs - people like me - are getting squeezed out.”
People pick on NJ but your point is well made. NJ is a great State with many outstanding areas of rural concern and beauty. NJ residents weren’t liberals, the New Yawkers settling in there have been. I’ve got close friend in NJ and they are great conservative Americans in the same situation you describe.
“You all can go to Hell. I’m going to Texas.” —David Crockett
I won’t go to Texas.
Someone commented on the thread about the general over the nuclear arsenal being dismissed by Barry -
he was dismissed because he couldn’t be trusted to launch on Texas if Barry ordered it.
How does it feel to want?
I’ve been to Texas. I have an ex-wife there.
and you think there won’t be insurgent groups to take over bases after the true Patriots abandon their posts and go home to help their families?
All of them?
