-snip-
On Monday, conservative provocateur Ann Coulter visited Sean Hannity for a plug-her-latest-book sitdown, during which her host tossed out what he no doubt assumed would a typical conservative-colleagues-in-arms softball: Establishment Republicans are at war with the Tea Party base, and Im angry about it! But Coulter slammed it, so to speak, to the opposite field, going on a tear against Newt Gingrich, Todd Akin, Mark Sanford, and Liz Cheney, whom she declared to be hucksters, shysters, and people ripping off the Republican Party for their own self-aggrandizement, for their own egos, to make money.

As for Amazon sales, her new book ranks #1 and #2 in “Hot New Releases in Political Conservatism & Liberalism” beating out Glenn Beck, Mark Levin, and Sarah Palin.
Now you can really hate her.

The point is that she made it very clear that she would have if she could have.
I agree...right about Akin....the others? Not so much, or not all the time....
Yep. Annie herself is 'good Ann' and 'bad Ann' - one of the original 'Mittens'. Good Newt beats the stuffing out of good Ann every day of the week and 'bad Ann' shows up way too often.
That is, if you “believed” Romney on his stance on amnesty and illegals (which was a total flipflop from just about three or four years before).
Personally, I did not. His scumbag GOP-Establishment crowd were the biggest boosters of amnesty around (when they weren’t busy backstabbing tea-party/grassroots conservatives). I didn’t trust Romney on amnesty one single, solitary bit.
I dislike Coulter (think she’s a huckster herself), but I don’t take huge issue with her list.
Newt Gingrich - Very big government when he gets the chance
Todd Akin - Major huckster and an idiot
Mark Sanford - meh, he’s pretty solid when it comes to voting, but a slimeball
and Liz Cheney - she’ll pull a Portman in the senate

Even at #1 in those very small categories, she’s sold around 250-300 books on Amazon.com. That’s about the same number of people who have signed up for ObamaCare.
I figure there has to be something personal between Newt and Ann....for her to just pretend that the good Newt never existed.
If she weren’t focused on whatever venom there is between them....she would welcome and recognize the good Newt for his brilliance and his many takedowns of liberals over the years......I mean, it’s proper to recognize the bad Newt too.....just sayin.....
Ok, point taken, but I do believe Obama on his stance and would have preferred to take a chance on Romney rather then get the sure thing we've got now. But that's just me. One thing to keep in mind; amnesty was a very big issue in the GOP primary; Romney would have needed really really big ones to flip flop on that.
Everybody forgets one thing. She is an author, nothing more, nothing less.
She fans the flames to sell her books because that is her job. And she is very good at what she does.
She is not a voice of the party, she holds no political office and she isnt an influence on Conservatism. She calls them the way she sees them.
It’s like the adage about the media. You don’t like what you are listening to, change the station.
In order to make Amazon Top 5 Bestseller for ALL Categories, an author is selling about 1,000-1,100 books across all channels.
Given Ann’s new book is currently is just above #100, it means she’s selling 75-80 books per day. Terrible sales. Awful.
She turned on them years ago.
Keep in mind that conservative authors are targeting a market. They're not attempting to compete with authors of books about Cat Grooming or books about the Lifestyles of Australian Aboriginals.
“I dont take much issue with her list of shysters...”
I do, because it’s only a partial list. While I have parted company with Ann on any number of issues, she’s spot on about these turds that the Tea Party put up as Senate candidates this last election. From my perspective, we are where we are today because we failed to retake the Senate. Any why did we fail? Angle, Mourdock, Akin, & O’Donnell! Unfortunately, the Tea Party has it’s “lunatic fringe,” and they were successful in putting up these “flawed candidates” who stood no chance at winning the votes of people with a modicum of grey matter. Understand, it’s o.k. to have ultra conservative religious views, but when you let those views drive candidates, you get the needless losses that we have seen.
My problem with her isn’t Romney. I’ve been annoyed at her since she made it a point to go after both Palin and the tea party conservatives back a few years ago.
None of this takes away from her work, she has done some really good writing over the years, she is one of the most effective pundits and writers we have from our side.
But her pique at Palin almost seemed personal, and her jabs at the “tea party” folk (who are really just the rank and file conservatives out here in fly-over land) was stupid. Who does she think buys her danged books?
The other books (Palin, Levin) have been on sale for months and sold 2,000+ copies per day when they were first were released.
Coulter’s new book was released on Monday and only selling less than 100 copies per day her first week an this is a major bomb. She will probably be dropped by her publisher after this performance since she won’t even get closing to paying out their advance.
Better to have the marxist muslim in charge.
