When the shooting starts, all the lies they’ve told about us aren’t going to matter. It’s no longer going to be about convincing anyone. The combatants are clearly defined. It’s the government against the people. Some will choose a side, some will watch from the sidelines. Those who choose to believe the MSM will be Tories, enemies. It will be that simple.

In Northern schools( that may still teach history), we were taught that the Civil War was all about slavery.
NOT SO !!
It wasn't until years deeply into the Civil War that Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation,
a tactic designed to, free slaves only in the South so that the Confederates would be fighting two fronts :
1)the Federalist Union soldiers on the battleground ;and
2) a second front at home in the South, by newly freed slaves who would take up arms against the South.
In the North , a slavery labor force was not common, although it existed , but the Emacipation proclmation did not apply to slaves north of Mason-Dixson line.
So the Civil War history that I had learned in the North wasn't accurate ;
the Confederate "Stars and Bars" was really a rally flag for "States Rights" , and slavery was only a secondary,later issue .
The media consider the Confederate flag as a racial issue ; which shows that " History is re-written by the winners".
My friend from Alabama suggests that the last century and a half is a temporary truce ('while they re-arm ').
But the Confederates were Democrats...

The Confederate flag is among the many tools and symbols that can chip away at political correctness. Jeff Foxworthy was instrumental in taking the once-negative term of "redneck" and transforming it to a point of pride -- and not just for Southerners. My view is that we on the Conservative side ought to appropriate the Confederate flag as was done with the Gasden flag as among the symbols of resistance to an overreaching federal government.
Rather than characterizing the presence of the Confederate flag at Patriotic events as "idiotic" or "stupid", the response ought to be a Cheney-like, "...so what?".

Wasn;t the confederate flag which flew on slave ships, or was it on any Govt building during the war, it was to distinguish the southern side during battle as lines always got confused.
That is why there was a first, second and third .
If they think it is racist then it shows how ignorant and dumb they really are.
shamefully for me and my generation, when i took to the streets with my local tea party 5 years ago (late cusp baby boomer, former dem from an ohio dem family), that was the genesis of all real political involvement for me.
history will show that the tea party is the only reason the GOPe is resisting and has resisted obama and the leftist dem party at all since the deal between bush, mccain and obama for tarp I.
