Ben Carson is probably best known for his work as a neurosurgeon, but in recent months he has become a conservative firebrand and today he offered some controversial red meat to the audience at the Values Voter Summit in Washington.
Carson, who is a contributor to Fox News, assailed president Obama’s health care law, saying it is akin to slavery.
“I have to tell you, you know Obamacare is really, I think, the worst thing that has happened in this nation since slavery,” Carson said. “And it is slavery in a way because it is making all of us subservient to the government.”
Carson, who is African American, went on to say that the administration’s push toward Obamacare is reminiscent to a push toward socialism.
“It was never about health care, it was about control,” Carson said. “That’s why when this administration took office it didn’t matter that the country was going off the cliff economically. All forces were directed toward getting this legislation passed.
“Vladimir Lenin, one of the fathers of Socialism and Communism, said that socialized medicine is the keystone to the establishment of the socialist state,” he added...

Sadly, we’ve been “subservient to the government” since the Supreme Court approved FDR’s socialistic New Deal in the 1930s
Much of the medical profession is being held hostage, unable to practice medicine anywhere as well as the aggregate wisdom knows how. Those medical professionals who are compelled to carry out medical practices they KNOW are not in the patients’ best interests, while being stiffed on payment for services rendered, by getting a low-ball payment for the services they provide, or denied payment altogether, may very well in the end, decide that the practice of medicine, in the territory once known as the “United States of America”, is no longer their life’s calling, and either surrender their licenses, or remove to another country altogether.
The law of unintended consequences is under full enforcement. The only real crime, and one that is always prosecuted in the highest courts of the universe, is stupidity.

Democrats never pass up on opportunity to tell us why slavery by the state is for our own protection and our own safety, because life under the anarchy that conservatives want to impose is just too risky and dangerous. We can't have any of that inhumane "on-your-own economics" that conservatives advocate.

I don’t believe the consequences were unintentional. They’ve known all along what they’re doing. There are millions of people in this country who want socialism. Maybe as many as half. They believe their lifestyle will improve. More than likely it will drop a few notches. By then it will be too late.
Obamacare due process: bad things will happen to those who refuse to trust Obamacare with their lives.
(Of course the catch is that bad things will happen to those who trust Obamacare with their lives.)
