I just ran across this. I know Palin and Levin will have a big event for Lonegan on Saturday, I'm beginning to think he has a chance. Win one for the Gipper and all of us, particularly in the deep blue sea of New Jersey!

Newark ranks up with Detroit, Chicago as the most corrupt, crime ridden places in all the faire landes, right?
Didn’t the black democrat head of Detroit just get sentenced to 28 years?
You’d think New Jersey has enough people with common sense to put things like that together, and to not relegate the entire state to Newark/Detroit caliber management.

All Jersey FReepers should get out and vote for Steve Lonegan. And urge everyone that they talk to who votes to also vote for him.
We need this guy in this seat. He is a true Conservative.

I’ve seen past elections where a GOP surge in the polls turned very flat on Election Day so I put nothing past those Dems. But if Lonegan is the nominee, what becomes of the RINO that Christie was putting up last summer?

The former three-term Bogota mayor called on Republicans to stop listening to the same consultants and pollsters who blew the 2012 election and who are telling the GOP to fold and instead stand firm for seven more days.
They still get paid, win or lose. That is why they are still hanging around inside the beltway and showing up on the 'news' programs and newstalk programs.

What are the means for the d’s to steal the election? That is the only question that matters in elections, these days.

How does a guy expunge three terms?
Sounds a little like a former career politician.

I have been sending him money all during his campaign.
He could use some more FReeper help, if you can spare a few bux!
We must defeat Cory Booker!
Every Republican win between now and November 2014 is one more finger in the LIEberal eye!

I heard this guy on Medved, I'm energized, and I agree with him. This would be huge. If he has turnout he wins. Send him money. He's been outspent over 10 to 1.

Steve Lonegan served as the Mayor of Bogota for twelve years, winning three times in a town that gave Barack Obama 67.5 percent of the vote in 2012.So how does one reconcile the facts that Bogata voted for a Marxist, Obama and a conservative Steve Lonegan?
Turnout?...as in people who hate both big-government and big-government-lite, who usually don't turn out, and who WILL turn out to vote for a real small government candidate.
Maybe I read too much into the voting results of small town Bogata.
Let's see what happens state wide.

The GOP Consultants' Guild was engaging in static analysis. Yes, the GOP started in a poor position...but things are changing in their favor. Events take on a life of their own--and courage can change the dynamic.
In many historic battles, the guys who flinched first lost. And the Democrats actually have more to lose, don't they?
If the GOP can stand firm and get the Demogogue Party to stand down, the victory will change the political landscape.

This type of campaign should resonate across the country. Any conservative who has thought about running for office, please give it another serious consideration. We are starved for your leadership and inspiration.
Best of luck Steve Lonegan.

I will say this much for him, Lonegan has a lot of fight in him. I dont think he willwin unless there is a massive failure of the Dem base to turn out. But, never the less it is good to see.

Newark, Camden, Elizabeth, Patterson, Jersey City, Hackensack, Trenton.
The Garden State has become an incubator for Detroits.
Any suburban New Jersey voter who looks at his tax bill must decide whether he wants to concede the state on the federal level to the Mayor of Newark. The problem for the suburban voter is his ambivalence but that voter faces a voting block in the inner cities listed above with no ambivalence whatsoever.

Sadly, Boehner may be afraid that Lonegan could win in a very low turnout and that would put pressure on Boehner not to cave. Caving is part of Boehner’s nature. Of course if Lonegan wins, he loses big in 2014, when more liberals turn out.
