More than 10,000 people in Arkansas were dumped into a blackout Sunday following an attack on that states electric grid, the FBI said today, the third such attack in recent weeks. In August, a major transmission line in the region, around Cabot, Ark., was deliberately cut.
The FBI said that two power poles had been intentionally cut in Lonoke County on Sunday, resulting in the outage.
According to the FBI:
In the early morning hours of September 29, 2013, officials with Entergy Arkansas reported a fire at its Keo substation located on Arkansas Highway 165 between Scott and England in Lonoke County. Fortunately, there were no injuries and no reported power outages. Investigation has determined that the fire, which consumed the control house at the substation, was intentionally set. The person or persons responsible for this incident inscribed a message on a metal control panel outside the substation which reads, YOU SHOULD HAVE EXPECTED U.S.
snip
The implication appears to be that the culprit not only knew where to find the equipment he needed to cause a power outage, but he also know how to use that equipment well enough to pull down two utility poles.

How could you tell?
“You should have expected us”
Isn’t that Anonymous’ motto or something? I’ve heard that before. This may be retaliation for a recent roundup of some of them.
The kind of stuff of stuff Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dorn used to do. Is the Weather Underground back?
someone mentioned the TV show “Connections” on another thread so I am watching the first episode, about the 1965 power outtage in the northeast.
weird.
That they used U.S. suggests there’s some fringe idiot out there in a group using those initials.
Interesting.
Probably the Amish.
They hate electricity.
Here is the letter I got:
Thou hast just received the Amish Virus.
As we haveth no technology nor programming experience, this virus worketh on the honour system. Please delete all the files from thy hard drive and manually forward this virus to all on thy mailing list.
We thank thee for thy cooperation.

YOU SHOULD HAVE EXPECTED U.S.

weird.
Not Amish.
Indeed. Coordinate numerous teams by cell phone and the East Coast would be dark in minutes and would stay that way for months.
Great series.
Which dem Congresswoman was it who said that an attack on our infrastructure, such as an EMP attack, is 100% certain?
"You should have expected us"?
You'll have to ax them.
dang the Tea Party struck again!
Did they find any abandoned lawn chairs and metamucil boxes?
LOL!
This writer is discussing three different events and clarity becomes lost in his efforts.
A different event occurred in each of the following months, August, September and October.
Amish disguised as Mennonites - they’re sneaky. (haven’t you seen the - oh, never mind)
Exactly. “Expect us” is Anonymous motto. What we may be seeing is an Anonymous transition from nonphysical to physical, something we’ve been expecting for some time.
Had to happen.
The Amish always stand out because they have those "bowl on the head" haircuts. Mennonites look like they go to the barber.
