"There is no controlling legal authority"

The Constitution is like paper currency, it takes faith to make it worth anything.

Be careful here. No equal protection clause can mean that the hate crime laws creating “protected classes” and discriminating against conservatives are constitutional.

No. The states in insurrection were never outside the Union. They were in insurrection, their state governments became illegitimate, and then reverted to the status of US territories. They were not permitted representation in Congress until they passed the various amendments and had state status restored.

The 16th Amendment was also “passed” in dubious circumstances.

This country would have been a lot better off if the “rebels
had won.

Interesting read.

Surprised that no one, including the Supreme Court has paid attention to it in the 56 years since the article was written.

coerced by a federal statute passed in 1867 that took away the right to vote or hold office from all citizens who had served in the Confederate Army

Well, duh. Would you allow John Walker Lindh to vote of hold office? Well, our ancestors felt the same way about "citizens" who take up arms against their country.

WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE!

Like that and 6 buck will get you swill at starbucks.

You actually think the law matters one whit? We have a lawless government right now and even with evidence you can’t get the criminals in DC to give a damn.

Move on and be productive arraigning your affairs so as to give government at all levels the least amount legally possible while maximizing value to your family.

Stay as close to the ground as possible and look as ignorant as possible. Like the bum who turned out to be a millionaire. Shoot I would even eat grass and slobber on myself if it would get them to leave me alone.

Dump CC’s and debt. Pay cash at the thrift store. The local ones. Shop everything you can second hand, yard sale.

Drive older vehicle that doesn’t stand out but well maintained. Call your con- critter daily and annoy them with things like have you stopped doing XXXXXX yet?

Make it up use a prepaid cell phone no smartphone.

Call con-critter again and just say dumb arse three times three times a day. If you have nothing for them to take then what can they take. Own nothing in your name!

Except the skid marked underwear you were planning to deduct off your income taxes! After all if its good enough for hill and bill is should be good enough for the rest of us, right?

The Sixteenth Amendment was never ratified either, and yet we have the IRS.

There is No "Fourteenth Amendment

True, but even if it were, it was never meant to have perpetual operation. It was simply a one-time naturalization Act for the freed slaves.

If it had been intended as such to be one of permanent operation, Congress would not have passed Bills like this:

December 9, 1872
42nd Congress, 3rd session
HR3059 By Mr. Young:

A Bill To relieve citizens of the United States from all disabilities imposed by the fourteenth amendment of the Constitution of the United States.
That all disabilities imposed by the fourteenth amendment of the Constitution of the United States be, and they are hereby, removed.

[Due to #PresidentStompyFoot and his tantrums, the Library of Congress is down, but this is the page;]

-------

That's right, boys and girls, the government has been systematically turning us into a socialist country by mandating 'equality' based on a part of the Constitution that currently has no more legal operation than the 'grandfather' clause does!
