Less than a month ago, hundreds of thousands of bikers rolled into Washington DC to protest a Muslim march that was planned to be held on the 12th anniversary of 9/11. Even though they were denied a permit, one estimate put the number of bikers who participated in that event at 880,000.
Eric Zern, one of two national coordinators of the 2 Million Bikers Ride to DC is now coordinating the Ride for WWII Veterans Memorial ~ Escort & Honor Ride.

I do believe this is the first time in my entire 66 years on this earth that I had a hankering to be anywhere near Washington D.C.
Great stuff, amigo!

Thanks.
I was very humbled to be there today. I shook the hand of a hundred true heroes. I was touched that men and women my age were escorting their fathers and mothers to see the World War II Memorial for the first time.
And yes, there were mothers who served in WWII — several came by in wheelchairs, most likely nurses.

It is a shame that there were some disgraceful aspects at the Memorial today.
First, the fountains were not working, which would have been nice.
Second, there were a few things that were just plain disrespectful of our nation and our heroes:
But the heroes WERE honored (please note the companies who sponsored this!):

Indeed, mine was a WAAC and remained proud of it until her death. Even in the throes of Alzheimers, she expressed that "this is the best Christmas gift ever" when we showed her the placque that we'd had added to the local veterans memorial...

Surprised to see Tyson Foods on board, as the head-Tyson is a total Clinton buttboy, and rumored to have done the laundry work for Hillary's cattle futures.
I still pass on their products...

You have a striking resemblance to the character who played Owen Kellogg in the first Atlas Shrugged movie. Wish they could have kept the original cast.
Thanks for showing up and being a great American!
