Considering that according to statistics, about one percent of the population displays schizophrenic symptoms, that would be, what, three million people locked away? We're already having trouble handling 1.5 million prison inmates.

Yes it is also not at all unusual to have to make almost constant adjustments to medication in order to keep them effective. Add in how awful it is for some people when they are withdrawing from certain medications finding the right ones can be a long and difficult process.

I am SO offended by your comments!!!! I have clinical OCD and meds are DEFINATELY effective. I live a an honorable, responsible, productive life that would NOT be possible without the meds and not one person I know would call me a “nutter”. Schizophrenia is another issue but those people did NOT ask for it or bring it on themselves. God forbid anyone in your family or even yourself should have to deal with it.

My son has Schizoaffective disorder. The meds he takes have saved his life. Thats a fact.
