The National Park Service has ordered the closure of a Virginia park that sits on federal land, even though the government provides no resources for its maintenance or operation.
The Claude Moore Colonial Farm announced on Wednesday that NPS has ordered it to suspend operations until Congress agrees to a deal to fund the federal government.
According to Anna Eberly, managing director of the farm, NPS sent law enforcement agents to the park on Tuesday evening to remove staff and volunteers from the property.
“You do have to wonder about the wisdom of an organization that would use staff they don’t have the money to pay to evict visitors from a park site that operates without costing them any money,” she said.

Exactly. I would think people in the area would be removing the barricades and forcing their way in to get it on the evening news.

I'm seeing how much land is really under federal jurisdiction in this country.
I’m not sure if Hale Farm is under the feds or not. But the Metroparks are locally operated and open. That includes the Bike and Hike trail. http://www.summitmetroparks.org
It would be a big task but somebody should compile a list of all the spiteful instances where the Obama regime is spending money to try to make the shut-down hurt as much as possible. Obama’s veto threat should be included with that, where he threatened to veto any offers to fund programs for disabled vets, etc.
Those orders will easily be traced right back to the Usurper-in-Chief - the one who, according to the son of Morsi’s #2, paid Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood affiliated President Morsi 8 BILLION dollars to kill innocent Egyptians so that Hamas could control areas close to Israel.
He can pull 8 billion tax dollars out of his back pocket to pay terrorists, but spends money to keep Americans from being able to use what is ours that requires no funding whatsoever.
Is there a lower life form than this?

The federal leadership deep down believes they own every square inch of land on the U S of A. They think they own all of our homes and businesses and churches and synagogues too.
I used to love in the National Park park near Hale Farm. I wonder if people are allowed into Towpath Village.
It’s Obama’s “be a dick” policy. Shut down everything that will intentionally piss people off instead of eliminating the true waste. Obama’s nothing more than a child throwing a fit.
